One question since I'm new at all of this (and it's showing). Are scores reviewed or adjusted after the games? Last Tuesday after the MNF game I got a notification that I had lost by 0.2 points. Then Wednesday I was 2-4 instead of 1-5 and when I went to check the matchup I had won by like 1 point. Is this normal?

Scoring adjustments happen often enough.  Official yardage can change vs in game tally of it for the live scoring aspect.  Most times it does not change the outcome of a game, this time it did.

I'm still mad at accidentally drafting Pryor.  If that didn't happen, I wouldn't have had to trade Diggs for Thompson and I'd have a top receiver without even trying to have a top receiver.  It's okay though, my team is a late bloomer.

Also, this all started when I said it was dumb to pick Julio Jones with your first pick, and I was pretty much right about that.  The dude does not get into the end zone.  He has less than half a touchdown per game.  Jordy Nelson has over half a touchdown per game and he had 6 touchdowns in his first three years.  Receivers are a dime a dozen.  I didn't think it was important to have a top receiver, and I had 3 of the top 10 receivers by average points per game on my team.  One of them was my fourth pick, one of them was a late pick and one of them was a waiver wire acquisition.

Let this be a lesson to you all.

I had the opposite problem... overvalued QBs thinking they'd go early and then overslept during the draft (joined in the 6th round I think) so the autopicker used a 1st and 3rd on a QB. Talk about a waste of resources...

Then I compounded the problem by cutting Fitzgerald too early thinking he was done. I heavily suspect he's the WR off waivers you were talking about.

Well, the first time is always a learning experience so I hope  I'll do better next year.

This league started out as a "pseudo test" of that concept that drafting a QB early was the better play in fantasy football.   Some agreed with that, others did not.

Round when team selected their first QB

Spanish Empacadores -- Round 1 (was autopicking due to time zone differences in Spain)

Armchair Horizons -- Round 4

Team Fatt Lipp -- Round 4

Frank Reynolds Little Beauties -- Round 7

Team CWood21 -- Round 7

Team Hellum -- Round 7

Team Down to Earth --  Round 8

Team Smetana -- Round 8

Team LungeSki -- Round 8

Team Cadmus -- Round 10

Someone Ugly -- Round 10

Team squire -- Round 11

That's not entirely true.  It was more as a test to see if receiver was as important as people made it out to be.  I expressed shock and disbelief at somebody talking about drafting Julio Jones first overall.  I thought that any receiver in the first round was a bad idea.  There are basically two starting receivers for every team.  There's one starting QB/RB for every team, so I thought that it was more important to get your QB and your RB since there are fewer elite QB/RB than there are WR.  Go back to the discussion that started it all and I also pointed out that julio Jones was a horrible receiver to pick up mostly because of his lack of TD production.  I was 100% right with that claim.  Dude's got one touchdown this year.  It's past the point where it's a coincidence that he can't get into the end zone.

I'm not saying I'm good at fantasy football.  Clearly I'm not.  But look at my team.  Receiver is the last of my worries and receiver is the position I worried about the least.  I accidentally drafted Terrelle Pryor.  I had some running back highlighted and it picked Pryor.  I'm still pissed off about that.  I was still able to get Diggs (whom I traded for Thompson), Cooks, Fitzgerald and Matthews through the draft and waiver wire.

The highest rated receivers have not performed well this year.  Then you've got guys like Theilen and Diggs and others.  It's ten times easier to find a waiver wire receiver than it is any other position.

And about QB, I was able to get the 3rd scoring QB in the fourth round.  There's no reason Brady should have been available in the fourth round.

If I was able to pick the running back I wanted (honestly forget who it was), I'd be in much better shape than I'm in now.  Even though I did pick last in the draft order.

So I stand by my claim that receivers are drafted WAY too high.

Also, I'm going to sneak into the playoffs and scrape through all the games by like a point thanks to great timing.  Probably not though because my team has no talent at all.

I had Rodgers at #1 in my sorted list so I would have picked him regardless. It was my first time doing this so I was kinda clueless tbh. I am still clueless but I'd go for one of the WR/RB studs like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones or Le'Veon Bell.

I'm not half mad with my season so far. After starting 0-4 I've gone 5-2 with a lot of waiver wire action, trying to pick up scraps and try to improve the team, like with Evan Engram or Aaron Jones. I believe I now have like 3 or 4 players left from the initial roster, the rest were FAs/waived players. I did make some mistakes on the way like cutting Larry Fitz (you're welcome @HorizontoZenith).

When it comes to positional value, I've kinda fallen in love with Running Backs. Maybe it's due to Ingram beasting for me (and I would probably never have drafted him myself, it was the autopicker), but Aaron Jones / Ingram / Mixon (slight disappointment) and others have scored some good points. The loss of Rodgers has hurt a bit but I believe I can get in the dance.

Yep, what I've learned is that running back is without question the most important position in fantasy football.  If I ever play fantasy football again, it's running back the first three rounds for me.  Pretty much no matter what.  My lack of running back has hurt me more than anything.  Especially considering injuries.

RB, RB, RB, QB, WR.  Almost no matter what for me.

Disagree on the principle that you can find value at RB/WR after the draft.  You cannot find value at QB after the draft.  If one of the top 4 (Brees/Brady/Rodgers/Ryan) are gone, sure, go WR/RB.  If not, you get your QB.

Somebody start a FF FF team and I'll sign up and win with my logic.

This is from the TAPT thread on page 22.

You were making the claim against taking a WR early vs a QB.

He's saying he changed his mind right? That's why he said what I learned...

Huh.  I guess it was WR versus QB.  Anyway, I'd still take QB before WR in the draft, so it's a moot point.  If the top 4 quarterbacks are available, I'd take one of them before a top 12 receiver.  And after playing fantasy football for the first time in 5-6 years, I would take two running backs before my first receiver.

The only way that receiver would be worth a first or second round pick to me in fantasy football would be if you had points per catch only for receivers.  But in today's NFL, since running backs catch the ball so often, I see no benefit to drafting a receiver first or second round.
