Boston is probably safer and more consistent at this point. But I would put big $$$ on the level of lockerroom stability and leadership Berry would provide for a young talented roster with high expectations. If he gets injured, Kindred is not a bad replacement option

I trust Dorsey. If he doesn’t think they are the answer, we should pass on them.

Its going to come through the draft I'd have to predict

Berry is older and is going to cost too much and we're not sure if he can actually play

Boston is really a FS or 3rd safety

we gotta get our SS through the draft

Boston doesn't have a big market, we need a 2nd fs safety.

Berry likely won't get a multi year deal either.

We could sign both, use both, and have them on the books for a year.

exactly

I wanted him last year.

I still want him

but hes not going to solve our strong safety problem we're going to get someone to compete with Kindred

Leadership of berry means next to nothing if he is not on the field.  Food for thought.

reports say that he saw a specialist that said surgery was not needed and that he was cleared to play.  But there will be pain he will have to play through.  He sat out.

His threshold of pain does not seem high enough to allow him to play.  No surgery is needed, but there WILL be pain.  That pain is not going to go away with time.

coaches are paid for the type of leadership he woukd bring, for a lot less money and without taking up a roster spot.

He was a great player.  He was an inspiration coming back from cancer.  Was is the key word. Is is also an important word too.  At this point he is a henderance which is why he was released by the chiefs.  We do not need him.

In wilks scheme, he might not need a traditional in the box strong safety. Or in the 2019 nfl.

Well in Silks scheme he still played FS tho.

They need to bring in Boston and Coleman in my IMO and create just a nice 3 man rotation at the safety position. Heck even use Randal at corner at times if needed.

Almost would want to fill the spot with Vets. Next year we could see possible 3 safeties draft in the first. I can’t remember the names but the safety from LSU Clemson and Michigan are all studs. Next year might be the year to grab one
