textaz03
7.5 sacks on 4 year career, 3.5 in 2018. 65 total tackles 39 of which are solo tackles. looks like he has a little bit of an injury history. Missed 4 games in 18 and 9 games in 17.
D82
He's a decent player. Think he's played out of position as a 3-4 DE though. If he can stay healthy, maybe Rod can work his magic on him as a 3-Tech.

Texans fans don’t seem thrilled to lose him. At minimum he’s an upgrade on Reid and Ross.

Plus, as a one year deal, that screams camp body. I’d probably have a different opinion if it was a 2 or 3 year contract.

He can play Would figure given the state of the roster that we will draft another rotational DL or two, and I trust Rod to get the most of those types of guys. We need Gregory to come back again to have enough top-end talent though

It does nothing but give the organization the excuse to openly ignore need positions in deference to Marinelli’s “genius” as opposed to finding real talent. They constantly dumpster dive on the d-line (specifically, DT) because Marinelli can “coach them up”. It’s that short sighted arrogance that keeps us from improving. WizardHawk
Covington fits the model. Cheap, rotational guy who does pretty well getting after QB and works hard. Don’t hate it. Don’t love it.

Just kind of is what it is at this point. That’s why I said we need Randy, which, well, yeah. Ideally, this will not end up being our biggest move of the offseason. We shall see. textaz03
If he’s in the field more than what Irvin was, it’s already an upgrade. Just sayin
