I never said that he had a better catch ratio than Jordy. I said his had a good ratio in pone post and that his was over 70% in another. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/receiving#yards https://www.tsn.ca/nfl/statistics#/receiving https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/wr
justwinbaby81
Roberts was solely 3rd on the team in penalties lol, that's real. Behind Parker and K Miller. Only 2 WR had more

The very first thing you said to defend Seth is that he's good on special teams and he played a grand total of zero snaps on special teams...that kind of eliminates the rest of your analysis' validity. You dropped the credibility faster than a 3rd and 5 to stone hands Seth. I made a mistake looking at the wrong snap count there. I'll own that. I just remember Seth being a decent to good gunner his first year here. That was an over step and I was wrong.

Yes he did have 3 off holding, one false start and one offensive PI. For the amount that he is asked to just block on plays, I don't find that excessive. Plus the fact that we'd probably not agree with all those flags thrown against us. Here are the #s for anyone that wants to look - http://www.nflpenalties.com/team/oakland-raiders?year=2018&view=players He had 5 flags and there are 6 guys with 4 right under him. justwinbaby81
For being "slow as heck" and "terrible" he had more catches, better catch rate, and higher YPC than Roberts. Golden Tate had same YPC with 8 points lower in catch rate and just got paid $9M per.

Seth more as a underneath target and blocker and Jordy more as a primary X or Y receiver? Could that account for the production difference? How many plays do you think were draw up with Seth as the primary vs Jordy? Once again, I will say I don't like Seth's deal. I think we can get better value for the money. I think Jordy is a better production WR than Seth in the overall sense. But I don't think you can put a blanket over all WRs in judging their value to a team either. The GM and the Coach agree for all we know, which is very little. See my and other's posts talking about reasons Jordy could have been cut. SBXISBXVSBXVIII
Maybe this was done so Jordy could sign a one day contract with the Packers so he could retire as a Packer
daineraider
Please, make Roberts next.
OG_C2X
I have come to the conclusion Seth Roberts gives the best blowjobs in the NFL. How you going to pay a man 3 Million dollars then cut him when you have a equally as unproductive player with no dead money and hasnt been paid **** sitting right there. Something along those lines. Would make sense.
Rich7sena
Jordy came on a bit toward the end of last year but he couldn't be kept at his price tag. I would mind bringing him back at no more than $5 million per.

Nice That payment came off the back of a rumour that he had retired midway through the season, smelt like hush money then and still does tbh. Roberts played 0 ST snaps...like what? Catch rate lower than Jordy, despite the best of his trash career. Mutual departure for Jordy? I can buy that. Bad football move otherwise. He got paid a 3 Mil bonus early so no tears for Jordy!
RaiderX
Keeping Roberts over Jordy makes ZERO sense. Nelson will always be more productive than him no matter where he is on depth chart. Already paying him, just keep him.
