Jets sign Brian Poole

Recommended Posts

Cant say I know much about him. I was hoping for Callahan. Going to watch some highlights of Poole to get excited.

The bright note is that he doesn't get penalized nearly as much as Skrine.  The not so bright note is that he's not so great.

Can battle Nickerson for the spot. I actually would rather see Nickerson win the spot.

Same although I'm thinking Poole wins out.  My guess is that it's a one-year deal to see if Parry can develop into a decent slot or to see if we get 2nd half of the season Poole for a full season.  He was nasty the second half of the year.  Terrible in the first half.

One other note, apparently most consider him the best blitzing CB in FB, which is probably part of why they wanted him.

This guy is essentially a LB. A hard hitting Darron Lee it seems. Looks like we want to be a hard hitting team up the middle. Between Poole, Adams, and Mosley, buckle up.

I kind of like this signing. Worse case a cheap vet who likes to tackle. This is an upgrade over Buster plus if a rookie beats him out or Nickerson that works fine too.

He's def better than Skrine. He does more things well than Skrine ever could, and doesn't get penalized half as much. Hard hitter too. We'll hopefully have a better pass rush than Atlanta did which will only help the secondary.

I’d rather a better coverage slot comeback than a bltizer/tackler. Is it what is though I guess. I love Parry though so I’m hoping for him to make that spot is own
