Cleveland Browns

Next year expectations = 10-6

3-5 year expectations = multiple AFCCG appearances

Good or bad hire = tbd.

Jets

Next year expectations = 7-9

3-5 year expectations = reaching double digit wins and winning the division

Good or bad hire = Good

Dolphins

Next year expectations = tank

3-5 year expectations = find a QB and compete for the division

Good or bad hire = Good

Broncos

Next year expectations = 8-8

3-5 year expectations = don't suck

Good or bad hire = Uninspiring.

Bucs

Next year expectations = 8-8

3-5 year expectations = reach the playoffs

Good or bad hire = Good. Arians can get Winston out of his sleep

Packers

Next year expectations = 10-11 wins

3-5 year expectations = Super Bowl appearance

Good or bad hire = Bad but a change needed to happen

Cardinals

Next year expectations = no expectations

3-5 year expectations = reach playoffs

Good or bad hire = Horrendous. If he is there in 3 years I would be shocked

Bengals

Next year expectations = are there any?

3-5 year expectations = Get a new QB and compete for the division.

Good or bad hire = Don't like it.

I don't think we can say for sure if ANY of these hires are good or bad until the teams actually begin to play.   Even your HC wasn't looked upon as great initially until his teams started to win.

That's a fair point but you're liking the hire or not based on how you expect the team to peform

I mean, yeah, we're not going to be sure until the teams play.

But we're hind of here to discuss and predict football's future, no?

I suppose with a veteran HC in Tampa it might be easier to tell how he will do but a lot of these coaches are new.  The only other coach with previous HCing experience is Gase in NY.  In GB we have a lot of new faces on the coaching staff outside of the HC and a a handful of veteran players moving in and out so it is difficult to predict how the team will fare this year.

It is easier to predict how a player will perform in the future unless he is getting long in the tooth or has suffered injuries that are affecting his play.   Often rookie HCs don't do so hot their first year.  Some will surprise us like McVay did with the Rams so you never know.
