Defensive HC's can win football games too and you can hire QB specialists at OC and QBC. If I was him, I would want out. He has made a defense that isn't incredibly talented good for a long time, at some point he has to feel like he isn't being given his due in Chicago. Maybe he really loves the city though, who knows. The Bears already interviewed Fangio for the HC spot. For some reason, teams just don't like Defensive head coaches, unless your DC coached under BB. It doesn't have to be a Offensive minded HC just not a Idiot Defensive HC like Rex Ryan ignoring the offensive side of the ball. Fangio absolutely could do that. Which can really change how your QB develops and plays in a worse way...and the likely situation is usually they have a young QB or need to draft their young QB if they are hiring a new HC. I think of you are the Colts you should look at a Defensive guy and hire a good old timer like arians was who isn’t likely to get a head gig anymore.
