Bears and Packers to open on Thursday Night Football

Recommended Posts

Excellent, should mean no short weeks for our starters as I believe you only get 1 Thursday game. Packers and Bears fans have to be happy about that.

Negative, Ghost Rider.  Both the Chargers and Ravens had two Thursday games last year.

Actually it just makes more sense to have the 2 oldest franchises kicking off year 100 for the NFL.

2 years ago, the Vikings played back to back Thursday games, since one of them was on Thanksgiving.  So, you aren't out of the woods yet.

This is dumb. I don't care if it's the 100th year or the 1000th year -- it's almost as if the previous year doesn't matter in sports anymore. It's supposed to be a passing of times from last year to this year and yet the champions are probably going to be the 3rd to last game played for week 1?

I just find this stupid.
