Draft Lead Up: Question 1 - OL Choice

I think I'm going to do a series of posts/polls about the upcoming draft leading up to the draft. Probably once a week, but hey, we're on Footballs Future, let's talk about the future and get ready for the big day!

 

What is the first round OL option that you really want the Vikings to draft?

There's about a 2% chance that they'd get him, but my #1 choice, by far, is Jawaan Taylor.  Athletic and powerful...he's Phil Loadholt size with good feet.

I like Dillard, especially in the Kubiak blocking  scheme.

For those that will, in my mind, realistically be around I'm going with Bradbury.

Potential to improve two spots with one pick by shifting Elf to LG.

Bradbury is my guy. 

But outside of Little and McCoy, I’d be happy with any of them at 18.

Cody Ford but I would probably put Dillard as a close second.  Bradbury and Lindstorm I like as well.

I do like Bradbury as well. I think he'd be a big upgrade at Center and give the team another young G to mold in Elflein.

For me, in this order, it would be

Dillard

Williams

Bradburry

Risner

Lindstrom/Taylor

 

The good news, in my opinion, is that I would think at least one of the top 3 guys on my list will be available at our pick, and I believe all would be fantastic upgrades.

Also, for what it's worth, Dillard and Bradburry are my two favorite linemen in this draft, but I don't have Bradburry higher on my list of wants just because I'm not 100% sold on Elflein's viability at guard. Then again, i'm not sold on Reiff's viability at guard either.

I just don’t understand the Bradberry love at 18. 

Is it reading other people online? 

Hes the best center in the draft, I really believe he pulled ahead of basically everyone else by quite a bit. But if we move him to match up with some guards, I have a couple of guys ahead of him.

If the Vikings do end up drafting Bradbury...he's not playing G...Elflein is.  And unlike @NorthCountryEvo, I have zero concern about Elflein playing OG.  Up until his senior year at OSU, that's exactly what he played.

Despite the above, i went with Bradbury. I think it is harder to find a center than a guard, and if they can solidify the center spot, that helps both guards......
