that's their starting DL at least on paper, right? It's not TERRIBLE, but yeah they could use some help.

 

Ogbah is wildly inconsistent but I haven't given up on him. He's got some untapped potential as a pass rusher and is already good as a run defender.

Tanoh Kpassagnoh was a big name coming out in the draft a few years ago. I really liked him, but he was miscast in their 3-4 defense.

Breeland Speaks is not a guy I'd vouch for. Havent' really seen him play nor did I evaluate him heading up to the draft.

You should absolutely know Chris Jones. He's a top 5-10 interior DL.

Derrick Nnadi is a big strong NT that played well last year, IIRC.

I don't really get this unless we get good compensation, which I doubt we will. Ogbah was a bit disappointing as a starter, but would have made for an excellent third DE. He never really improved as a pass rusher, but is solid in most aspects of the game. Unless we get better compensation than I expect, then I think we'd be better off keeping him as depth, and just letting him walk when his contract is over.

Those starting ends have a combined 3.5 sacks in 3 combined seasons.

I think Alex Okafor starts at RE.

Tanoh might be more likely to be cut.

Because they were buried on the depth chart behind two of the most productive pass rushers in the NFL.

I agree with this. Keep him as a depth piece and rotate him in. You can never have too many pass rushers.

This is the kind of player that Howie would target TBH

Emmanuel Ogbah, "The Nigerian Daydream" (not quite a Nightmare yet).

Former sexy athletic-specimen DE prospect, pre-2016 draft; went 2nd round, I think?

Surprised that they didn't talk Dave Gettleman into taking him even-up for Odell Beckham, really.

Despite not getting playing time, I actually have more hope for Tanoh than I do Speaks. Hopefully I'm wrong but I really just don't see Speaks being good.
