In the NFL News thread about that trade I seen Browns fans talk about how the new safety would bump Kindred out of his role as 3rd safety/ST. Lo and behold they waive him and Ballard swoops in immediately. Obviously he is competing with Farley and Odum to back up Hooker and Geathers and special teams is a positive.
