Ravens sign WR Seth Roberts

Recommended Posts

At this point, I want to see Baltimore just go all in and run some variation of the T, Wing T, Flexbone, or Wishbone offense. Use at least 2 TE over 75% of the time.

Good thing we signed him to block, not run routes! :D

Well if he catches a TD you win...Well we (Raiders) use to say that but last year something went wrong?!? Before that we won every game he caught a TD in so...CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Things might change sooner rather than later without Newsome in control though.

We could certainly see Decosta take more swings in the draft at the position (It'd be hard to take less). However, it's notable that he gave $6M per year to our 3rd best receiving TE. He could have easily chosen to let Boyle walk and go with the first round pick, Hurst, and the very promising Mark Andrews like most of us expected. He actively chose to invest more at the TE spot. Whereas this Seth Roberts deal was the only move he's made to bolster a WR depth chart where only Willie Snead and Chris Moore have taken NFL snaps.

Early indications are that the philosophy is the same as it has been. This GM change isn't like other front office changes. The same two people are still in the room.
