R T
The Packers are publicly owned. The Bears are privately owned......by Aaron Rodgers.

HeresAGuy
Aaron Rodgers just casually climbing the MVP boards.......Herbert just got thrown to the ground. Kyler Murray is his next target. This guy is one of a kind. We gotta keep him around. Sorry Love, wish you the best kid, but Rodgers is making it impossible. Hes too good. DannyB
Rodgers perpetually vacillates on any and all ends of the sort of....douchy/cocky matrix. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I don't. I loved the "I still own you" moment. Just the right dosage of villainy.
HeresAGuy
Chicago and Minnesota deserve to suffer through him for at least another 4 years.

You can shave more than $15mil off that as you indicate above. No you can't. Of those 46M that count against the cap 27.M are prorated bonus that have already been paid and are going against the cap no matter what. You only have 19M o P5 salary you haven't paid yet. No, for 2022 it's 19M bonus and 26M base. You can lower the cap hit for the base salary a lot, depending on how hard you're willing to push it to the 2023 cap. For example if you convert those 26M to a signing bonus and add 3 additional years (that he will never see) you can push almost 20M to future years, that would be added to the already existing 8M cap hit for 2023. https://overthecap.com/player/aaron-rodgers/1085/

You could convert 18.5M to a signing bonus, add 4 void years and lower it's cap hit down to 31.3M. That's as low as you can get (you free 15M aprox.). All this quibbling over will he or won't he be in Green Bay and the cap ramifications is goofy. If GB and Rodgers decide to mend fences ... he'll be there ... period. Key -- IF that's what they both decide. Everything else can be figured out.

No. 2022 is $26.470.588 base salary, $19.173.568 signing bonus, $500.000 workout bonus. It's in the link I posted, or overthecap if you prefer. It would be pretty easy to get Rodgers cap hit under $23mil next year if we wanted to by restructuring his $26mil base salary into a signing bonus and giving him an extension.
