RaidersAreOne
Still slim but at least we have bodies at the position now:

BayRaider
Decent rotational guy, don’t have a problem with the one year signing.

OG_C2X
I like this signing. I always liked Mayowa as a rotational guy. Plays with a lot of explosion. Has good leverage. When he wins he wins with technique.

Darbsk
Decent signing, I liked Mayowa when he was here previously as a rotational player. He's probably instantly our best DE on the roster which is still a little bit scary!
Roninho
I like it. At this stage of the offseason it's clear that we are not going to get a good pass rush unit this year. But at least make sure we will have a decent rotation. This signing helps, we just need 2 more and a 1st round pick. Not sure what our cap is, but assuming it would have fitted imo not beating the cowboys 6th round pick for Robert Quinn is a missed chance. 1st round pick + Quinn + Key + Mayowa would be a decent rotation.

All of those guys got huge deals and are 5-7 sack per year type of players. The better pass rushers like Clowney, Ford, Clark, and Lawerence were all franchise tagged before free agency even began. We could still add someone like Ziggy Ansah after the draft or make a trade during the preseason for a vet but premier pass rushers are almost impossible to acquire outside of the draft. We need DEs that are capable of doing things other than rush the passer. Yes we want an elite pass rusher but we also need a base end that can stop the run. We have a huge issue with getting pressure on the QB but we also have an issue of not having any starting quality DEs. We could trade for Clowney or Clark, sign Ansah, and draft Ferrel Sweat Gary...etc. There are ways of accomplishing this goal but the team has decided to focus on other areas during FA. I believe this is because of Gruden not wanting to develope to many players on the offense and leaving the draft to fill defensive holes. Now if Gruden spends the lion's share of cap space on O and then starts using all the high draft picks on O also I will have some serious issues with him but right now it looks like Mayock and Gruden have a plan and are doing a good job of filling out the roster. TE and DE look like the only major wholes to fill. If we can get a couple DEs and a TE in the first 2 rounds that are good value this team will look a lot better in 2019 and possible playoff team in 2020.
