Jakuvious
Honestly, that's a steal. It's already a bit below market value, arguably, but it'll be well below market value by the time the new years actually kick in.

You can't leave Thielen open like that.

Had STEFON DIGGS waited until the ink was dry on the Thielen contract, he might have been able to negotiate a new deal paying him enough money to buy the Miami Marlins or build The Mexican Wall or some such! Then again, perhaps STEFON has an escalator clause in his contract that permits, should another Vike be signed for big bucks, his own salary to soar as he did high into the Northern Lights Sky o'er Minnesota during that fabled game! Could it be time for The 5th Annual STEFON DIGGS Appreciation Thread to remind fans of his Greatness????
ACO
Great for him. He earned every penny of it. Now they have their 2 WRs signed long term. That is smart. Now they just need to get on the same page with their QB.
showtime
Honestly, I love watching Thielen and Diggs play. Two exceptional receivers. If they had a good QB, they would be a great team.

He's like a average-ish QB. I think Alex Smith is better than him, and Smith seems like a good/average QB.
Kepler
Packer fan here. Thielen is a beast and deserves that money. Probably deserves more but that looks like a solid deal for the Vikings.

Cousins is fine he just isn't a playmaker QB. He'll have a high completion percentage and good stats he just doesn't seem to make much happen.

He always puts up really good looking stats, but when it's time to play a meaningful game he under-preforms. He did it throughout his time with the Redskins, too.

He said it's not too hard for #Vikings to get more 2019 cap room with Adam Thielen extension. Said if his base is cut to $1 million and he gets $15M signing bonus would lower his cap number from $8.1 to $5.15M & create $3M room What I don't understand is why don't most teams use this tactic? Someone educate me on this please.

I know Howie Roseman does this as good as anyone in the NFL. He's being playing Chess while others play Checkers for years.
