The ankle injury in Denver was gruesome; it happened about 20 feet in front of me and we were sure that his season was over. The cause was his cleat sticking in the sod. No one would have survived that unscathed. In the days before, he looked to be a big part of the offense and was moving fluidly and demonstrated good hands. I’m still high on his future. That said, if he has more concussions this year, than I’ll be leary of his utility moving forward. We've had that same issue with Floyd as well, moved past it, and no one is calling him a bust or an injury risk any longer. IMHO there's way to much Chicken Little "The Sky is Falling" worry about Shaheen just yet but without a doubt year three is a year in which he needs to prove himself worthy of his position.
