I would say that Arizona should be an easy start but that's what we were thinking last year vs the Jets.

It's a difficult schedule. If the team is on the trajectory that we hope for, it should be manageable. If not, it's going to be a lot of the same as last year.

The Packers could be a team that starts off slow. They have Chicago, Minnesota, Denver, Philly and Dallas to start. The Bears should be a difficult start for a new coach. I'm less concerned about Fangio and expect the Broncos should be close to their old selves.

This is what I'm expecting for now.. 7-9. The draft could shake things up a bit but I don't know if it would change much.

I think we split with everyone in the division, win against AZ, Oakland, Washington and Tampa.  Denver, NYG, and Philly are toss ups but I lean towards us losing.  So I see a 7-9 to 10-6 if things go our way.  I will assume we beat one of the teams we shouldn't and lose to one or two of the teams we should beat so it all averages out to the same projected record.

Out of our division rivals, which team do you think we could realistically sweep? Chicago if Trubisky regresses? Green Bay if the marriage between Rodgers and Lafleur gets off to a shaky start? Minnesota if Cousins winds up being the Albert Haynesworth of FA QB deals?

All of those are very real possibilitpossibilities.

Most fans think their team gets better every off season, but we all know that's not possible.

I would have more confidence if our oline wasn't such an uncertainty.

I could see us sweeping the Vikings simply cause our dline may dominate  up front.

I can't believe we're not favored  against AZ . I fully expect that to change.

Every fan base drinks the Kool-Aid and expects their team to be in double digits. I try to be realistic knowing that things can change but I try to keep my optimism low. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised when the Lions go 5-0 than drive myself crazy when they go 2-3.

Minnesota and Green Bay are the two teams that I think we have the strongest likelihood of getting over. If the Vikings don't solve their OL issues, then there's a chance our defense could do some damage.

My thoughts are that either way we go 3-3 in the division.  Just knowing how the Lions work.  We may sweep any one of them but may also be swept by anyone of them.
