Mock Draft Competition

Basically the rules were: pick who you think they'll take for each draft slot.  If you're right, you get some points.  If you're wrong on the player, but hit on the position, you get less points.

There were more or less points awarded for getting later round players as opposed to earlier round players.

I'd have to dig back some ways to find the numerical values.  Most years, only one or two people actually hit on a position.

Might revise before draft day, but here we are for now:

1. Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
2. Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota
3. Jachai Polite, DE, Florida
4. Chuma Edoga, OT, USC
5. Drew Sample, TE, Washington
6a. Mike Edwards, S, Kentucky
6b. Mitch Hyatt, OL, Clemson
6c. Gary Jennings, WR, West Virginia
6d. Tony Pollard, RB, Memphis
6e. John Cominsky, DL, Charleston
7. Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio State

Updated prediction below, strikethrough to review my original picks but note that they are no longer valid.

Would it be a record to draft 4 Bulldogs in a row?!

Yup.  And since I'm a fan, I'm down.

So here's a question:  Do we treat all 6th rounders equally, as in if you have a 6th round pick as one of your five, shouldn't it count as full points whether it's the 6a or 6c pick?  I think it should.
