We have speed at receiver. The speed is just underdeveloped rookie WRs. Both Davis and Taylor have legit speed. We need speed out of the backfield though. We need a change of pace RB to pair with Henry which is why I like Sony Michel from Georgia. Good in the pass game and plays special teams. It’s actually a really good draft for RBs. Decker won’t be back but let’s not forget the legend Tajae Sharpe. He will be back next season!!! He’s truly the piece we are missing from last year.

You may have a point.

I seriously forgot Tajae Sharpe even existed haha.

If Taylor is what I hope he is, I'm fine with a trio of Davis/Matthews/Taylor at WR. Hopefully Davis becomes better than he has been this year.

For all the talk about Henry being a bad blocker, Davis is horrible.

I was just joking about Sharpe guys lol. Never really saw much from him. Maybe as a 4th receiver.

I knew you were joking. Just legitimately forgot he ever existed. If he can play special teams he could be a 4th or 5th guy.

Senior Bowl Week.....

I haven't dived into the prospects given all the things we've been doing the last few weeks. (playoffs/firings/hirings).

Darius Phillips CB-Western Michigan
Ito Smith- RB-Southern Miss
Akrum Wadley-RB-Iowa

Are a couple guys i know off top I want to see.

Darius Phillips stats this year:

53 targets, 28 receptions, 321 yards allowed, 135 YAC, 4 tds allowed, 3 INTs, 72.9 passer rating when being thrown at, 6.7 cover snaps per target, 0.90 yards per cover snap, 12.8 cover snaps per reception.

Ito Smith:

elusiveness numbers: 232 rushing attempts, 35 receiving, 2.94 yards after contact per attempt, 41 missed tackles forced rushing, 6 receiving, elusive rating of 51.7

pass blocking: 322 pass snaps, 69 blocking, 3 hits, 2 hurries allowed for 5 total pressures, pass blocking efficiency of 94.6

Akrum Wadley:

elusiveness numbers: 232, 25, 2.68, 34, 10, 45.8 respectively(goes in same order as Ito's numbers)

he isn't even listed in their pass blocking efficiency list.

Elusive ratings for both RBs are on the mid to low end, PBE for Ito is on the low end, they rank the CBs by cover snaps per reception which puts Phillips very low, though his QB rating against is decent enough and his yards per cover snap is actually decent compared to others, on the upper end of the middle tier.

Stats aren't everything, just giving some interesting numbers for context. If anyone wants any in depth numbers on any other prospects just let me know and I'll post them.
