Yeap, your right.  I just couldn't help myself.

2019 Mock Draft:

12.  Devin Bush NFL

Scouting Report: Devin Bush

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s 2019 Mock Draft

School: Michigan Position: Inside Linebacker Class: Junior Height: 5-11 Weight: 222 lbs

Scouting Report:

Gap disciplined off the ball linebacker that excels against the runs. Very physical and efficient tackler. Has trouble in coverage against shifty running backs and bigger tight ends. Smart and experienced, can direct a defense and understands complex offenses. Diagnosis plays well, and has very good read and react skills. Sound tackler. Comes from NFL lineage, and it shows in his advanced understanding of the game.

#30.  Noah Fant NFL

Scouting Report: Noah Fant

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s 2019 Mock Draft

School: Iowa Position: Tight End Class: Junior Height: 6-5 Weight: 232 lbs

Scouting Report:

A move tight end that has the bulk and strength of a blocking tight end. Wins contested balls with a combination of a large catch radius and strength. Can post up, work the seam, and is a major redzone threat. Strong enough to work as a blocker in space and inline. Gifted pass catcher with very good hands.

#44.  (TRADE ALERT!!!)  Steelers call and offer picks #52 and #83 to move up and draft, Hakeem Butler WR Iowa St.

#52.  Johnathan Abram NFL

Scouting Report: Johnathan Abram

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s 2019 Mock Draft

School: Mississippi State Position: Safety Class: Senior Height: 6-1 Weight: 200 lbs

Scouting Report:

Safeties in the NFL are becoming less and less specialized, so they all start with one dominant skill, but have to display a versatile array of skills to be picked high in the draft. Johnathan Abram comes first as a hard hitting, in the box type safety, and he has plenty of tape to display those talents. However, he has shown good instincts with finding the ball and making plays in coverage. His ability to cover tight ends and running backs, cover deep, and continue to produce against the run and with blitzes, he can secure a high place in the next year’s draft.

#75.  Jachai Polite NFL

Scouting Report: Jachai Polite

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Florida Position: Defensive End / Outside Linebacker Class: Junior Height: 6-2 Weight: 260

Scouting Report:

Explosive first step off the edge, and able to quickly get outside leverage on tackles that aren’t proficient in containing elite edge pressure. Doesn’t appear to play with consistent effort, teams will need to determine if that is concentration or energy. Not a power rusher at this point, but has shown the ability to fool opponents into getting off balance and able to gain an advantage with the tackle out of position. Not as long as many teams would like for their every down edge rusher, but could find a place as a positional pass rusher coming off the edge as a DE or OLB.

#83.  Parris Campbell - 2019 NFL Draft

Scouting Report: Parris Campbell

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Ohio State Position: Wide Receiver Class: Senior Height: 6-1 Weight: 208 lbs

Scouting Report:

Campbell is a versatile offensive weapon, able to be moved around back and forth from traditional wide receiver and running back positions. This hybrid wr/rb skill set is being used by many of the Erhardt-Perkins offenses in the NFL, and creates matchup problems for defenses. He has considerable value as a kick returner as well.

#114.  Lonnie Johnson JR NFL

Scouting Report: Lonnie Johnson Jr.

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Kentucky Position: Cornerback Class: Senior Height: 6’3 Weight: 190

Scouting Report:

A tall, long press-man corner that can hold up down vertical routes against big and fast receivers. Fits physical secondary schemes made popular by the Legion of Boom, but limited against shiftier interior route runners. A surprise invite to the Senior Bowl over his teammate, Johnson shined during the practice week, interrupting routes off of the snap of much more heralded prospects.

#118.  Max Scharping NFL

Scouting Report: Max Scharping

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Northern Illinois Position: Offensive Tackle Class: Senior Height: 6-6 Weight: 320

Scouting Report:

Prototypical NFL offensive tackle, with excellent height, length, and build. Very agile for his size and has excellent lateral movement. Good bender, and rarely is caught off balance. Initial punch is jarring, but hasn’t played against elite pass rushers week in and week out. Experienced at both left and right tackle. Will be starting to be considered a mid round steal, but could very well move up into early rounds.

#150.  Trayveon Williams NFL

Scouting Report: Trayveon Williams

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Texas A&M Position: Running Back Class: Junior Height: 5’9 Weight: 200

Scouting Report:

A well rounded, balanced running back that will be an excellent asset to a team that uses multiple backs instead of counting on a feature back. Can pass pro, catch the ball out of the backfield and in the slot, and is a plus runner. Has patience, and good vision. Able to wait for the blocking to develop, either put his foot in the dirt or jump step toward the hole and explode into the open field.

#185.  Ben Powers NFL

Scouting Report: Ben Powers

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Oklahoma Position: Offensive Guard Class: Senior Height: 6-4 Weight: 315

Scouting Report:

Works well in space in Oklahoma’s wide open spread system. Gets to the next level quickly, and is used extensively as a pulling guard. Will have to adapt to having his hand in the dirt more in the NFL game, but appears to have sound technique as far as the scheme that he is in. Good overall build and frame. Very good in pass protection, but not quite a mauler in the run game.

#194.  Jordan Brailford NFL

Scouting Report: Jordan Brailford

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Oklahoma State Position: Outside Linebacker / Defensive End Class: Junior Height: 6-3 Weight: 250

Scouting Report:

Extremely versatile front seven defender, that best projects as an OLB in a 3-4. Most NFL teams prefer to call themselves “multiple” and prize players that can be moved around. Brailford has played every linebacker position and put his hand in the dirt as an edge rusher. Good length, that will allow him to develop a bigger array of pass rush moves that he can use effectively. Decent in coverage, and his experience at linebacker will make him attractive to two gapping defenses that need versatile edge players.

#226.  2019 NFL Mock Draft: Kendall Joseph

Scouting Report: Kendall Joseph

2019 NFL Mock Draft

DraftGeek’s Mock Draft

School: Clemson Position: Inside Linebacker Class: Senior Height: 5-11 Weight: 225 lbs

Scouting Report:

A very underrated player on a Clemson defense that has been loaded with stars the last few years. Joseph is a tackling machine, and has excellent awareness, diagnosing plays quickly, and seemingly always around the ball. Possesses an excellent combination of agility, strength, intelligence, and leadership. Joseph’s brain is wired into football, and will be a leader of an NFL defense next year.

Pick 12 is fine, 52 is the problem.  We signed a veteran strong safety in FA.  We have Jones, both guys are not deep cover guys.   Why would we draft another?  On top of that I doubt he is there at 52.  The next two picks will likely not be where you have them as well.

Really starting to hate Polite. Terrible combine and worse pro day. Don’t like him at all. If you could get the TCU or Miller from Alabama at EDGE there I’d like it more. Much more. Even with Bush at 12, I’d be cool with it. And I hate the idea of an ILB that early.

Agreed. Polite's falling down the boards and 75 is where he's pegged at the moment. I too am souring on Polite probably for the same reasons you are outside of his workouts. I don't think he'll be an EDGE at the next level.
