Giants took a RB in the top 6 picks two straight years it seems.

The forward pass is a thing of the past in today’s NFL. @Gmen

That’s funny.

He’s actually been throwing well too and drawing rave reviews so far in OTAs. The thought of pairing an athlete like Jones with Barkley is exciting. I expect we’ll see lot of RPO, play action, boot legs. Shula coached Cam Newton, so he’ll know how to utilize Jones’ athleticism.

I had to.

Expect good-natured pokes as opportunities arise (and we welcome the same). Off-season is dragging along here.

Um Jones is no where near the athlete Newton is. Newton could our run defenders since he is a 4.5 guy. Jones is a 4.8 guy.

Athlete talk starts sub 4.7 for a big guy.

4.8 is nice, but that is de speed not linebacker or db speed.

Guys, they’re both 6’5”.

What more do you need?

And Jarvis Landry ran a 4.77

He’s not Cam Newton, but he’s well above average as an athlete for the position. He had 1300 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns in his college career. Athleticism wise, Alex Smith and Tannehill are good comparisons

He was hurt at the combine, he is  probs 4.6, we don't call him an athlete

Yes he is a decent athlete for a pro QB. you made the comment you are confident in Shula cause he did great things with a Newton and that means he will do great things with Jones cause there similar athletes.

As an athlete, he is probably closer to Joshua Allen at quarterback minus the cannon for an arm and size. Allen was a shade under 4.8 at the combine and Buffalo used his legs a bit.

He isn’t big enough or fast enough to center the offense around running around like Cam Newton in Carolina. I can definitely see them trying to incorporate some Carson Wentz type of tendencies though as far as moving around within the pocket.
