mr fluffles
Hey all, happy 2019 NFL Draft Eve! Here is my final seven rounder of the year. Comments appreciated! First Round 1. Arizona: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma – It’s getting down to the wire, but there’s been too many indicators that the Cardinals will settle on Kyler Murray on Thursday evening. 2. San Francisco: Nick Bosa, Edge, Ohio State – A dream scenario for the 49ers to have Bosa drop to them. Quinnen Williams will make them pause and consider, though. 3. New York Jets: Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama – Gregg Williams and the Jets are really excited for Williams to fall and choose to select perhaps the best player in the draft, over the more pressing need at edge rusher. 4. Oakland: - Devin White, LB, LSU – With their prime target in Williams off the board, Mayock and company add a centrepiece to their defense. 5. Tampa Bay: Josh Allen, Edge, Kentucky – The Buccaneers are shifting towards more an odd man front; Allen will be a key chess piece in making the move effective. 6. New York Giants: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston - While he may not fit Dave Gettleman’s prototype for a defensive lineman, it’s just hard to see Oliver falling any further than this. 7. Jacksonville: Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida: The Jaguars have to protect their new QB. Taylor is an improving player who will immediately upgrade the right side of their line. 8. Detroit: Rashan Gary, DL, Michigan – The Lions continue to revamp their defensive line with the versatile and uber-talented Gary. 9. Buffalo: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama - With the defensive line talent flying off the board, the Bills stick to their BPA philosophy and draft a potential 12 year starter for their offensive line. 10. Denver: Devon Bush, LB, Michigan -The speedy Bush is a riser who will continue to solidify the Bronco’s stout defense. 11. Cincinnati: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State - The Bengals have a new young coach who wants to start fresh with his own QB. 12. Green Bay: Cody Ford, OL , Oklahoma - The Packers prioritize addressing the uncertainty on the right side of their offensive line. Ford can start right away at right guard and move to right tackle to eventually replace Brian Baluga. 13. Miami: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson - Wilkins follows his former Clemson defensive line coach to Miami to start rebuilding the bare defensive line. 14. Atlanta: Brian Burns, Edge, Florida State - The Falcons add another pass rusher to offset Vic Beasley’s struggles. 15. Washington: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri - It’s between Jones and Lock here, and there’s a good chance the Giants jump ahead of Washington for Jones. 16. Carolina: Clelin Ferrell, Edge, Clemson: The Panthers address a massive need at pass rusher. 17. New York Giants (from Cleveland): Daniel Jones, QB, Duke - The Giants will zone in on Jones as Eli Manning’s eventual replacement. 18. Minnesota: Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State – Dream scenario for the Vikings to have Dillard drop to them. He’s an ideal fit for their ZBS. 19. Tennessee: TJ Hockenson, TE, Iowa - There’s no more excuses for Marcus Mariota after this year. Hockenson will be very enticing to Mike Vrabel. 20. Pittsburgh: DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss - The semi-slide ends for Metcalf, immediately forecasting continuity to the Steelers dangerous pass game. 21. Seattle: Montez Sweat, Edge. Mississippi State – Sweat’s draft day slide ends at Seattle who love their athletes, need a replacement for Frank Clark and have never been afraid of making riskier draft selections. 22. Baltimore: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma – Brown is the perfect weapon for Lamar Jackson and the dynamic new Baltimore offense. 23. Houston: Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State - Risner is going to bring some toughness to the line that must find a way to protect their young quarterback. 24. Oakland (from Chicago): Byron Murphy, CB, Washington – Mike Mayock knows how to scout secondary players. The Raiders make great value pick at a position of need. 25. Philadelphia: Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama – The Eagles need a bell cow running back to keep up with the Joneses in the NFL East, and get the best in the class. 26. Indianapolis: AJ Brown, WR, Mississippi - Brown is the perfect compliment to T.Y. Hilton and should be favourite target of Andrew Luck’s immediately. 27. Oakland (from Dallas): Nasir Adderley, S, Delaware – The Raiders continue to revamp their secondary. They took a liking to Adderly at the Senior Bowl. 28. Los Angeles Chargers: Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame - Tillery is a freakish talent who will provide the Chargers with yet another disruptive defensive lineman to add to their formidable front. 29. Seattle (from Kansas City): Greedy Williams, CB, LSU –Leave it to Seattle to teach Greedy Williams how to use his unique physical traits in their press coverage scheme. 30. Green Bay (from New Orleans): Noah Fant, TE, Iowa - Fant’s speed has nothing on the Packer’s front office sprinting to the podium if he’s on the board. 31. Los Angeles Rams: Garrett Bradbury, IOL, North Carolina – The Rams have a serious need on their IOL. Bradbury is a perfect fit for their zone based scheme and gives them options at left guard and centre. 32. New England: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson – The hoodie still emphasizes stopping the run, and loves his big ol’ nose tackles. Lawrence is a phenomenal athlete for his size as well. 2nd Round 33. Arizona – Chris Lindstrom, IOL, Boston College 34. Indianapolis (from New York Jets) - Jeffrey Simmons, DT, Mississippi State 35. Oakland - Jachai Polite, Edge, Florida 36. San Francisco – Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina 37. New York Giants – Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State 38. Jacksonville - N’Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State 39. Tampa Bay – Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia 40. Buffalo – Chase Winovich, Edge, Michigan 41. Denver – Erik McCoy, IOL, Texas A&M 42. Cincinnati – Kaleb McGary, OT, Washington 43. Detroit – Sean Bunting, CB, Central Michigan 44. Green Bay- Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida 45. Atlanta – Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State 46. Washington- Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State 47. Carolina- Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss 48. Miami – L.J. Collier, Edge, TCU 49. Cleveland – Jonathan Abram, S, Mississippi State 50. Minnesota - Charles Omenihu, DL, Texas 51. Tennessee – Michael Deiter, IOL, Wisconsin 52. Pittsburgh - Rock Ya-Sin, CB, Temple 53. Philadelphia (from Baltimore)- Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama State 54. Houston (from Seattle) – Julian Love, CB, Notre Dame 55. I'd rather grab Max Sharping here instead. 1 hour ago, mr fluffles said: 119 Green Bay (from Washington) – Trysten Hill, DL, Central Florida Probably the range we're looking at grabbing a TE here. Scoundrel
Good draft for Denver I’d be torn between Bush, Haskins, or Hockenson but I’d take any of the three. Like McCoy in the second fills a big need. In the third I would go David Long at Corner instead of Isaiah Johnson. Johnson’s RAS is otherworldly but I don’t think he ends up being a good player. In the fourth Wren is worth the gamble for our Defensive coaches to see if they can get a Malik Jackson type player out of him. Really like the Marvell Tell pick and I would go Caleb Wilson with that second fifth and see if he can become something in Scangarello’s offense. In the sixth I’d go Finley. I see Denver taking a late round developmental QB if they don’t take one early. And Finley will probably go higher than this. And in the 7th Cody Thompson at WR. So 1.10- Devin Bush LB UM 2.41- Erik McCoy C TAMU 3.71- David Long CB UM 4.126- Renell Wren 5T ASU 5.150- Marvell Tell S USC 5.160- Caleb Wilson TE UCLA 6.185- Ryan Finley QB NC State 7.241- Cody Thompson WR Toledo
oldman9er
There are certainly things I'd do differently, yet the initial selections of Bosa-Samuel-Mullen-Blair would still make me happy.
Wyld Stallyns
I would prefer the Colts take Tillery at #26 AJ Brown at #34 but I can’t say I hate this draft. The only pick I don’t like is taking Hardman. Not because I don’t like the player but we have good depth at WR we just need one top end talent to put next to Hilton . Otherwise good Colts draft
Daniel
Would be thrilled for Hockenson to fall to 19. Not sure about the rest of the Titans picks though. The positions makes sense, but Round 2 seems really early for Deiter, and I doubt they'd wait til the third and fifth rounds to fill the biggest holes in the roster. BrownsDog23
Great draft for the Browns IMO only thing I would change is I think they should grab a kicker in round 6 or
The Gnat
Did I miss a Vikings comp pick in round seven, I only saw one of them. That said, good Vikings picks. I'd be pleased with that draft.

NY Jets (from NO) - Connor McGovern, IOL, Penn State)) 4th Round117 Miami- Dennis Daley, OT, South Carolina ((128 Philadelphia – Vosean Joseph, LB, Florida)) 5th Round153 Miami – Sheldrick Redwine, S, Miami 1st round: no issue with that or what I believe to most likely be Ferrell, actually (I know they love Wilkins).... They need DE's because we lost 3 starter or start-capable DE's this offseason (Wake, Quinn, Branch). But, I have no issues with Wilkins pick! But, we need a DE.... Oh wait, look at round 2! 2nd round: accommodates the DE selection if we take Wilkins, works for me! Great picks for rounds 1 & 2! They also may go early with O.Ximines/they showed interest in him. was fodder?5th round: I like that idea as well. Staying local with Redwine. The future of Rashad Jones is up in the air, even as soon as this June. But, I would guess next year, if we're being honest. Solid pick here too! Here's a few changes....3rd round: How about Connor McGovern instead? We need line help on DL and the OL. Lost a starting RT and no obvious legit OG, we can look to work on that slot. McGovern might be a better fit for BPA and need. based on where your draft is at this time. (bummed that Elgton Jenkins went just a few picks before or I would've thought that would be a better selection).4th round: I would take Vosean Joseph instead of Daley. MIA has done some research on him and like him, possible future replacement for Kiko Alonso. Another thought -- At some point, I would guess they are going to draft a QB to develop. my guess is in the area of Round 4, so they can address a lot of the DL and OL needs. Ozzy
Here is what I see in terms of who you have being drafted and in terms of where they are drafted. 17. New York Giants (from Cleveland): Daniel Jones, QB, Duke - I like Jones but this talk of him being this high is a little much, is more a late 1st early 2nd rounder, but at least they did not take him with their first round 1 pick I suppose 18. Minnesota: Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State – If they do this then what do they do with Reiff and O'Neill, that is the big question? What just sit them or sit Dillard, I bet they draft a OL who can play OG or OT and I do not feel Dillard could do both but is a good player no doubt 21. Seattle: Montez Sweat, Edge. Mississippi State – They would love it if it happens, not sure he falls this far though 29. Seattle (from Kansas City): Greedy Williams, CB, LSU – Greedy is getting a bad rap lately, sure he is not a great tackler but his coverage is so good and he is so fast and so long he is well worth a higher draft pick. Would fit nicely here though, Greedy can play and to me teaching tackling is easier than teaching coverage, he has rare coverage skills and ball skills 35. Oakland - Jachai Polite, Edge, Florida Reach for him, after such a crap combine and poor workouts. He is obviously not as athletic as most thought he was and his character and attitude I question as well 47. Carolina- Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss Would be a steal and a half if this happens, someone has a potential starter for years with him[/b 56. New England (from Chicago) – Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota I agree he is rising, gives great effort has good speed and fits the NFL of today well 64. New England - Zack Allen, Edge, Boston College Would be a sin if he falls this far, kid can play and is an elite DE talent 65 Arizona- Andy Isabella, WR, UMass Should be a 2nd round pick, kid is a burner and could be hell to cover in the slot 69 Jacksonville – Dawson Knox, TE, Mississippi No thank you getting a TE who has proven little and was barely productive in college in a very pass happy system. Sure he is a decent athlete but his lack of great production scares me 100. Jacksonville (from LA Rams) – Taylor Rapp, S, Washington Fall this far because of a bad 40? If he ran a faster 40 no way he falls this far. Kid is a damn good football player and could start in the league for awhile 160 Denver (from Minnesota)- Jacobi Meyers, WR NC State This seems a little high for him to be honest 170 Kansas City – Gary Johnson, LB, Texas Linebacker with his speed fall this far, I doubt it 171 LA Rams- Sutton Smith, Edge, Northern Illinois He is a better player than this, but would be a great fit. Kid is a terror on the edge and gives absolute effort, not to mention impressed at the combine I feel 186 Cincinnati – Ryan Finley, QB, NC State Kid is worth a 2nd and worst a 3rd round pick, he has pro potential and already has a pro mindset as a QB 191 Carolina – Chase Hansen, LB, Utah What makes him fall this far? Injuries maybe but kid is a safety convert at LB with obvious pass coverage skills for a linebacker, could be a great fit in the NFL if he could stay healthy 196 Pittsburgh- Nick Scott, S, Penn State I doubt he is a drafted player to be honest 211. Philadelphia – Tyron Johnson, WR, Oklahoma State With this blazing 40 time I guess he is drafted higher than this, had a sub par career in college but is quick as can be and runs good routes I feel 219 Tampa Bay (from Arizona) - – Bennie Snell, RB, Kentucky Why would he drop this far? Kid is a tank and literally carried the UK football team the past two seasons, great leader and plays with great passion for the game. No way he is a 7th round pick, sure might fall to the middle rounds because of a slow 40 but kid is tough and gets hard yards as good as any back in the draft 234 Atlanta- Cole Holcomb, LB, North Carolina Would be very surprised to see him drafted 236 New York Giants (from Minnesota) – Martez Ivey, IOL, Florida Why would he be drafted this late? He gets a bad rap and as a pure OG I think he could be good, sure at tackle struggles at times but as a guard could be more than solid I feel in the NFL and had a decent career at Florida 238 Miami (from Pittsburgh)– Antoine Wesley, WR, Texas Tech Is a little risk and did not do great in the 40 but at times looked awesome this past year even with poor QB play, has big time upside 241 Denver (from Houston) - Trevon Wesco, FB, West Virginia I like him a lot but not sure he will be draft, fine HB potentially though 254 New England – TJ Edwards, LB, Wisconsin I think he could drop yes but I doubt this far but maybe in todays NFL 255 LA Rams – Porter Gustin, Edge, USC What makes him fall this far? Kid is a good athlete and has been productive for more than a few years, has a injury history but his 3/4 OLB ability makes him a higher pick than this I feel A few solid prospects I thought you left out, did not include them all though. Have you see all of these players play or are you just going off of positions and lists other people have made? Iman Marshall CB USC 2nd-4th rounder Myles Gaskins RB Washington 3rd-4th rounder Andrew Wingard S Wyoming 3rd-5th rounder Y Nijman OT/OG Virginia Tech 3rd-5th rounder T. Sweeney TE Boston College 3rd-4th rounder Gardner Minshew QB Washington State 3rd-5th rounder Greg Dortch WR Wake Forest 3rd-5th rounder Nate Herbig OG Stanford 3rd-5th rounder Darrin Hall RB Pitt 4th -6th rounder Andrew Van Ginkel OLB Wisconsin 4th-6th rounder Mike Edwards S Kentucky 4th-6th rounder etc... There are more but these are the main ones I saw not included Edited April 25, 2019 by Ozzy
