Fearless predictions.

Alright, mock drafts, lists of players, evaluations, it’s all behind you now.

What are your predictions for the draft.

1. I believe the Lions trade back and draft Brian Burns.

2. I believe the Lions use draft capital to acquire another second round pick.

3. I believe the Lions will draft Taylor Rapp, David Long, Parris Campbell.

4. In total I expect Quinn will make 4 trades.

If this happens I would be so happy. This is pretty much the ideal situation

This is not what I want to happen just some predictions.

  • Jonah Williams at #8
  • Move up into the late 1st or early 2nd (Possibly with the Pats at #32) and draft a defensive player. Maybe Greedy Williams or Montez Sweat.
  • No TE until after round 5
  • QB with one of their 6th round picks
  • Trade for a veteran player at some point during the draft

As much as we do need a guard, i would rather take TJ if it is between him and Jonah. I feel we would be sacrificing a good deal of talent.

My preference remains defense though... Either of Sweat, White, or Burns assuming the big 3 are gone.

My prediction of Jonah Williams is on file from a couple weeks ago,  but I'll add this one: if they take Hockenson, I predict that in week 4 he'll be playing 20% of the offensive snaps, struggling to get open, letting his man make TFLs in the run game, and all the typical apologizers will be saying it takes a couple of seasons for tight ends to develop, and I will be fantasizing about throwing Quinn off a bridge

1) The Lions will trade out from #8 despite the players who are sitting there

2) Our first round pick will be one that makes sense but we won't be thrilled with as fans (ex. Jonah Williams)

3) Lions will trade down at least twice in the draft

4) The Lions don't pick Hockenson in Rd 1

5) Lions will draft a CB in round 2 or 3 - one of Amani Oruwariye, David Long, Isaiah Johnson, Joejuan Williams, Julian Love, Justin Layne

6) Lions will draft a late round CB

7) Lions will draft two WR's - one in the first 3 rounds and another late round

***This is very circumstantial but I could see this happening: Lions trade for Josh Rosen with a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Depending on the health of Kelly Stafford, the team would not be left with much at QB if he decided to step away to be with his family. Rosen has at least one year of NFL experience under his belt and is relatively cheap. If the Lions draft a QB early on or make this trade, it will signal what their intentions or concerns are with #9
