In 2018 the Packers traded:

  • #14 for #27 and #147, 2019 #30
  • #27, #76, and #186 for #18 and #248
  • #101 and #147 for #88
  • Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix for 2019 #118

In 2019 the Packers have traded:

  • #30, #118, and #114 for #21

So the Packers have exchanged 2018 #14, #76, #101 #186, HHCD, and 2019 #114 for Jaire Alexander, Oren Burks, Kendall Donnerson, and Darnell Savage.

to be fair, I liked the burks pick at the time cuz athletez.  Maybe he can be a better brad jones

But Jones was a freak athlete and we got him in the 7th. I'm still scratching my head with Burks. His tape was mostly horrible.

Anybody who has given up on Oren Burks because of his rookie year is a COMPLETE fool. Somebody mentioned Burnett being our last good 3rd round pick. He was a guy who was lost as a rookie too.

This idea that if a rookie isn't an instant success is so misguided it is laughable.

Indeed. It is rare for a rookie to make an impact. Sure, there are those that came in and did great. But most of the time, it's a three year process. The game is FAST, and that take a lot of adjustment. then, the talent level has increased dramatically, where even the league's worst teams would crush the best college team. Add in the complexity of the systems the players are being asked to learn, and you have guys who were great in college, but need time to adjust. An excellent example is Nick Collins, who was mediocre, at best his first couple of years. Then, he bloomed in his third year, and was a very possible HOF candidate when he got hurt. Does Burks suck? Or is he on a learning curve? WE'll find out the next two seasons.
