He's a good red zone threat.
But, only four of his 14 TD's came inside the 10.
I think Eagle fans are looking for a lock-solid, 3rd-and-goal pass catcher inside the five.
He was actually slightly more productive between 10 and 20 yards.

Here are his TD's in 2018:
2, 4, 8, 9
13, 15, 18, 19, 19
23, 25, 28, 38, 80
So, he's not really a deep threat, but he had most of his TD's in the 10-30 yard range.

His biggest value is that he is another big receiver who will command better coverage when the Eagles close in.
Who has four 6'2" DB's to cover Jefferey, Arcega-Whiteside, Ertz and Goedert?

Oh, and he can block.
"Sanders up the middle for three and a touchdowwwwwwwn."

Don’t know why you use the 10 yard line as a limiter for a red zone type play.

That TD he’s 13 yards out and, as you see, they run a play where he just runs into the end zone, turns around and bodies the CB on a jump ball. Typical one on one, red zone throw you see on sundays. After looking at some highlights he definitely  possesses that ability to catch balls in traffic really anywhere on the field. That’s where he’s elite. I think he can have a Vincent Jackson type career if utilized correctly.

Should be interesting. Especially if Wentz can put the ball up high in the right spots.

Whiteside, Alshon, Ertz, Goedert all fully capable of high pointing and catching the ball.

Do we all agree his nickname should be A&W?

J Jaw sounds stupid.

He's either A&W or Double-J

Hardly anybody refers to him as "JJ", they call him by his full name.

JJ will be what naturally comes out when I watch him, not everyone has to have some 1 of 1 nickname.

He's our only legit deep speed player. Ags isn't used for his speed like that. Hollins and Gibson are total non factors for me. Special teamers. Especially Gibson. I just want one of these safeties.

Oooof

Takes in this thread did not age well (the ones trashing DK and McLaurin, arguing w/ poster suggesting we should have more than just 1 deep threat in the event DeSean is hurt). As far as JJAW, come on, jury is not out on him. Nelson was a total bust at this point in his career, and look at him now? Merely a disappointment.

but honestly, we have to give him at least 2 years. It’s nothing but a bad sign that he cannot get on the field when most high picked, good WRs produced right out the gate, but there are exceptions.

I'm willing to give JJ this season and the off-season to figure things out. l believe he will ultimately get his footing and produce for us. My biggest takeaway from this thread was how correct some people were in clamoring for a speed WR other than DeSean. Even some of us knew how bad of an idea relying on solely DeSean was. And let's be honest, most threads don't age well.

I think moreso than anything else, I didn't want to use our first round pick on Hollywood Brown.
