Happy dance, happy dance, happy dance.

5/$81mm with $49mm guaranteed. Pretty hefty deal for him. But good to lock him up.

Edit: By the time this deal is done, he'll be 30. Will probably extend it a few times between now and then, but he could be in line for a 3rd contract. Probably a 2-3 year deal, not nearly as big - but good money nonetheless.

Gotta figure Odell Beckham Jr is geeking out as well. Between this deal and the Antonio Brown deal, his team has hard numbers to negotiate around.

Odell is going to break this record when his deal is due.

No doubt. Can't see Odell for settling for less.

Mike Evans finna get paid too. And Stafford set the market for Winston. We're about to be screwed.

Big money, but you can do this when you know your QB position isn't going to need that much money for the next several years. You have to figure Watson will have at least 3 years to prove himself, so even if he is Jamarcus Russell level bust it'll be 4 years before there is even a thought of paying a QB big.

I mean DeAndre has no one to throw him the ball but who cares about that.

He didn't have a guy throwing him the ball since... ever. He still has a string of impactful seasons.

The Brock conundrum proved this to be something with a limit, but 115/1,500 with Hoyer, Mallett, Weeden and Yates shows he's pretty good.

If Watson turns into the guy he was in college (big if) the Hopkins is due to put up monster numbers for a while.

The only thing that puts a wrench into this is if Tom Savage goes ballistic this season - just out of left field with 4,000+ yards/25 TDs.

Then? You can't let him walk, even with Watson in the wings.

(Odds of this happening is Powerball level odds, but...)
