Scouting report: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/foster-moreau?id=32194d4f-5209-6402-e68b-97ba5fd58ae3

Strengths
  • Possesses necessary base and core strength to succeed as in-line blocker
  • Understands positioning of feet and hips and usually finds it
  • Can be sticky and irritating to defenders with his desire to sustain and finish blocks
  • Long strides to maintain positioning of hips on backside zone blocks
  • Shows consistent ability to gather weight and strike with well-targeted blows in space
  • Hand placement generally inside defender's frame
  • Well-conditioned and maintains technique late in game
  • Adequate feel for using frame to shield defender and make contested catch
  • Tends to be a punishing runner after catch.
Weaknesses
  • Sluggish start-up quickness into routes
  • Slow into breaks and slow out of them
  • Easy to find and hound for linebackers in coverage
  • Doesn't work hard to create space for the throw in tight quarters
  • Needs to run his feet up under his hands rather than waist-bending as run blocker
  • Can be a little clumsy around excessive foot traffic
  • Pace needs to quicken for move blocks on next level

Well,  1 outta the 2 I wanted at least, (2nd is Mack Wilson) and he's still available in the early 5th? Value? Duh....make a move up and ****** him up,  find a solid guard prospect and crack open a cold beer.  I don't think I even need to say I'm happy with this one too. Lol

He ran really good at the combine. When I watched LSU games I didn't see him play with that speed. I think this ends the Lee Smith era in Oakland.

Is Moreau that good of a blocker? Because Lee Smith is and pretty much an extra lineman. I'd rather keep him over Carrier, Butler, etc.

Lee Smith vastly overrated as a run blocker. Moreau a good run block who ran good enough at the combine to make you wonder if he can offer more in the passing game then most expect. Makes Smith an aged asset that they can replace with less money

I can see us keeping only 3 of these guys (including Smith) on the active and one on the PS.

My early guess is Wilson, Waller, Moreau on Active and Butler on PS

I think it will be Wilson, Moreau, Butler. I remember reading that Gruden is a big fan of Butler.
