in the league? it seems like it.

Worst? I haven't evaluated all of the teams top to bottom to say. However, based on their play, I would blindly bet on us having a bottom quarter defensive line in terms of talent.

Allen is a key peice to see how he develops. Outside of Allen we don't have one defensive lineman who would start on 25-29 teams. That's not a good thing.

To be fair, McClain and McGee were starters on their previous teams.

Now the combination of those three ... that's unlikely to be duplicated.

@turtle28, got a bit of a research project for you if you're willing:

Go through Paul Conner, Mark Bullock, and any other Twitter feed of people who post video of plays. Tally up how many players they mention and if it is in a positive or negative sense for each of the preseason games. I'm honestly curious to see how it shakes out. Not just what you've extracted here, but in a broader sense.

I'd say based on what I've viewed this preseason it's probably 70/30. They definitely generally post the good plays. I have to say Cooley goes over more good and bad.

No, I was thinking more on a per-player basis. How many times did player X get pointed at? Was it a positive mention, or a negative mention?

Basically, what I'm wondering about is: if someone continually points to a player (who may be a bubble guy) in a positive way, then he might have a smaller chance of making through to waivers and onto the practice squad. If there's less traffic or more mixed bag, then maybe we can gamble a bit more on him.
