Can still be a LB

I think he'll be a project that we redshirt unless he just comes in and blows the doors off and beats out one of the more established DEs we have. I can see a ?mystery? injury so we don't have to put him on the PS and risk someone stealing him, like what happened to Warren last year.

I’m sure he can, I was just pointing out the fact he’s not 220 anymore. Also, they’ve only mentioned him playing DE.

Agreed. I actually figure, if his burst is elite, why not keep him as a situational rush LB.

I'd think it may be better to keep him at DE and use him as a specialist package rusher, wouldn't have to worry about LB assignments, coverage and soon then. If he came in as a LB and only ever rushed you're tipping your hand to the blitz and giving the OC a head start. With that said, he has a very steep climb and probably is a practice squad type player the first year or two or very end of the roster bubble player.

But if he can cover being he has good speed he could be solid pass rushing olb and nickel lb.

That would be great, however, just because he has speed doesn't mean he can cover well and also the major thing for me would be if we're looking to get him on the field rather than just taking up a roster spot the less coverage responsibilities and assignments he has to adapt to the quicker he may make a role for himself, especially as he has such a steep learning curve to start with.
