Madmike90
No issue at all doubling down at RB in this draft...Montgomery, Davis & Whyte as out and out RBs with Cohen as a weapon is an excellent group of skill sets...that's even before you put Patterson and maybe Gabriel in there for the jets. WindyCity
Whyte has the explosion that Montgomary lacks. He should slide into the Mizzell role and play specials, where he was a top performer in college, and get 1-2 carries and 1-2 targets a game and see what you can do with the world class speed.
Epyon
Big enough to play ST, has KR experience as well.. Functional enough athleticism to potentially be used as a RB/WR hybrid if need be/ he can be taught to run routes decently well... Pretty solid depth singing that could develop into something more. At the very least (as pointed out in the draft thread by Beardown3231), he's pretty assured to bump Mizzell out of his spot/position. I'm expecting a weekly inactive from him, but it depends on how much Patterson/Cohen get used out of the backfield vs as WR.... and how well he can be taught to run WR routes. There's a ton of upside and not really any risk to this pick.
HuskieBear
Not saying the kid is gonna make the team - but with only 3 TE on the roster rn, maybe we've seen the end of Burton with Braunk moving into a H-Back/TE role. If we need mismatches, we throw a couple running backs on the field, or go with more 5 WR sets - Patterson is big enough to be a small TE anyways. Could also throw Whyte back on kickoffs with patterson, or if cohen needs a breather, then whyte can step into his role fairly effortlessly. Howard -> Monty Cohen -> same Cunningham -> Davis Mizzell -> Whyte Burton -> Braunk/Nall D Brown- -> Patterson Edited April 27, 2019 by HuskieBear
AZBearsFan
His selection doesn’t bode well for the Nall fans... His KR potential alone justifies this pick, but he has some bit role/depth potential as a back too. With especially Montgomery and now White after Davis it’s incredibly clear where Nagy saw the biggest deficiency in our offense last year. I’m frickin’ jacked to see what we can do in year 2. WindyCity
I just want to see him get a couple of touches a game and see if he can pop it. His athletic numbers are crazy and as an accomplished kick returner if you can get him in space on a screen or an option route and let him return it. dll2000
He's really fast clearly, but he doesnt play 4.3 on field. You watch Henderson, Hill and a healthy Love and they get hole against a light box and they are flat gone at college level. Against better players. None of those guys are 4.3 but they all look faster in pads. Why he is a late round pick.
AZBearsFan
This pick to me is really about improving the bottom of the roster. Our #4 RB last year didn’t have a single NFL-level quality to his game. This guy has that at minimum as a KR.

soulman
Nice utility back with good ST skills. We have a nice stable of backs heading to camp. A little bit of everything. Lot's of tools in the tool box. Edited April 28, 2019 by soulman
playthrough2001
I graduated from UCF and he had a great game against us last season. He scored TDs rushing and receiving and was effective in the return game. He looked as good or better than Singletary.
WindyCity
Mizzell was arguably the worst player on the Bears roster. He is now gone. That is an improvement. Edited April 29, 2019 by WindyCity
Superman(DH23)
I just watched highlights, so it is admittedly not film, but man this kid gets to the 2nd level fast. He is the definition of a homerun threat. I'm with windy, try to get him iso 2 or 3 times a game and let's see if he can house one.
