Danand
Might also be insurance if Pierce leaves in free agency next year.

Could also be future if they want to move on from Williams should he not bounce back to dominating next year. Always good to have multiple competent DL though. Weaknesses Inconsistent feel for down blocks on his edge At times, fails to have off-hand ready to attack angle blocks and protect his edge Anchor could benefit from improved feel for footwork and redistribution of weight after contact Tackle radius somewhat limited by squatty frame and lack of length Goes from hunter to survivor against double teams when fatigue sets in Despite solid senior season, body of work has been underwhelming relative to his talent
drd23
I wouldn't have thought it necessary to draft a NT, but when you consider that Pierce is a UFA next off-season and Williams could be a cap casualty it makes sense. Sounds like a good pick

Sounds like a good pick Yup. Also when we consider that Williams missed games in 2017 and Pierce in 2018 and our run defense suffered, having a big space eater in tow makes plenty of sense. We can ensure that our bases are always covered.
