How about trading up for Kinlaw if he falls out of the top-10?

I mean I'd like that, but it seems like 3 tech hasn't been a huge priority for this team in recent years. We drafted Sharrif years ago, and ever since we left the most we've put into the position was Sheldon Richardson on a 1 year deal. It would surprise me if we took a 3 tech in the first round at all, let alone trade up for one. I'd guess we go CB/OL/WR in the first.

Mock for Vikings (via Simulator):

I would have liked to go CB in the 2nd round, but with Reagor available, I took the perceived value. Went with multiple EDGE (comp 3rd and 4th), who are not likely day 1 starters, but can be rotational rushers in their rookie years with good explosive traits (can't teach speed), while developing further into more senior roles in their 2nd year..

I honestly think that is potentially impossible that Kinlaw would fall that far.  He will be gone at pick 13 or 14, then if not there at 16,17 and 18.  Then if not there at 19 or 20.  I see absolutely no way Kinlaw falls to the 22nd pick, especially considering multiple teams need DT talent and he is the 2nd best one in a draft class that is not crazy deep.  Reagor I would like, Josh Jones not sure I am a fan of that unless Reiff will be cut or play guard and not sure either of those happen.

I'm just straight using what the simulation provides. Not fully getting into (x player is definitely not going to be available, as we always see players fall for no reason, or a reason). In regards to Josh Jones, while not my favorite OT in the 1st round, I'm not fully factoring Reiff's ability\inability to play LG. My selection is based on 1 year down the line, when Reiff is no longer on the squad.

I see what you are saying no question, but would be odd what the simulation had those other teams getting.  But the reality of the situations is the 49ers just traded away Buckner so they might want a DE/DT like Kinlaw.  Then after that Tampa Bay might lose Suh so they would want a DE in that 3/4.  Then Atlanta no question wants a DT potentially if not a LB.  Dallas just lost a starting DT in free agency so they would love to get Kinlaw, Miami could use one in that new built defense, Raiders might be interesting in some depth at DT and Jacksonville no question would want one based on how so so Bryan is and losing Campbell and Dareus this off season.

So I would love to get Kinlaw but I just see no way it happens.  Jones long term sure makes sense but starting CB takes priority, right now we have tackles to play, at CB there is almost no one to start basically so we need a CB I feel.

I think you hit well on the first 7 picks. The only thing I would prefer is another OL in round 3 or 4.

value/schmallue. If you don't draft OL, you wont' win any games. They don't have 5 decent starters. I don't get why people don't understand this simple idea.....

If the best value is always a QB or WR, will you always pick a QB or WR? Of course not.....

If you have time, try one, it would be fun to read.

I could easily see the 49ers trading down from 13. They have their other 1st Rd pick and then nothing until Rd 5, they likely want more ammo. If Kinlaw is still on the board then, we could give up a pick or 2 to jump Tampa for him. Maybe one of the top OTs or CBs is still on the board then and we jump up. Or maybe Jeudy, Ruggs, Lamb are on the board and we want to get that talent (not my preferred choice of position to jump up for).
