VikeManDan
@OzzyDid you not see Zimmers comments on Harris? I’d be shocked if they drafted a safety in the 1st round. Rhodes has regressed big time, Hughes has struggled with injuries, Hill might be ok if the new CBA passes otherwise he is one bone headed decision away from another suspension. You can understand why some of us are talking about CBs.

Say Harris walks and so do the other safeties, they have nothing, sure Hughes has got injured, Hill has off the field stuff and Rhodes had a poor season last year but at least they are bodies for the position who have some ability. Harris, Kearse and Senedjo are not signed they have literally one safety in Harrison Smith. To me no way that means safety is not an issue. Sure wait for a safety and maybe get a steal with Dugger 2nd round or whatever, they will be getting one if they let all of those guys go, it absolutely has to happen. And if Winfield is there, why not take him with how damn solid he looked at the combine? He would be a great FS and Harrison could play more SS. If not quality OL are there or DL, I go Winfield all day. Edited March 6, 2020 by Ozzy
KeithVikings28
WR/RB Antonio Gibson from Memphis needs to be a Vikings. He would be a huge upgrade at WR3 and he can take carries out of the backfield. This could be our spark on offensive. I, personally hope we get rid of Dalvin Cook.

Yeah it all honesty, it would be smart for the Vikings to straight trade Cook if possible. Then they could draft Dobbins, Swift, Taylor, Edwards-Helaire, Akers etc in the 2nd or 1st round. And they still have Mattison and Boone also. Just now, VikeManDan said: I still say if Harris, Kearse and Senedjo are gone in FA, one safety on the roster is much much worse than three if not four corners on the roster. However, IMO, that doesn’t mean we need to select one early.

True I would be comfortable with some of these mid round guys also at either position. Would love Ojemudia in the 3rd or Bryce Hall in the 2nd. And Dugger could be a steal in the 2nd or 3rd but AJ Green is a CB who could transition well to safety, same with Nevelle Clark. And Chris Miller is a hit man I would love to be a Viking. Cornerback AJ Terrell 2nd Bryce Hall 2nd-3rd Amik Robertson 2nd-4th Michael Ojemudia 3rd-4th Josiah Scott 3rd-5th Tony Pride Jr 3rd-4th Myles Bryant 3rd-4th Damon Arnette 2nd-4th Jaylon Johnson 3rd-4th Essang Bassey 4th-5th Darnay Holmes 3rd-5th Cameron Dantzler 3rd-4th Trajan Bandy 4th-5th Lamar Jackson 4th-6th Lavert Hill 4th-5th Safety Jeremy Chinn 2nd-3rd Kyle Dugger 2nd-3rd Chris Miller 3rd-4th AJ Green 4th-5th K'Von Wallace 4th-5th JR Reed 4th-5th Nevelle Clarke 4th-5th Alohi Gilman 4th-5th Antoine Brooks 4th-5th Julian Blackmon 4th-5th Jordan Fuller 4th-5th Geno Stone 4th-6th Josh Metellus 5th-6th

Oh, I'd agree, but I think Zimmer thinks he can make it work, so I'd trust him. In the end, it wouldn't surprise me to see him bring Sendejo back on the veteran minimum and then either draft a safety in the mid-to-low rounds. I bet he also thinks he could be use another corner to fill a safety slot (through play design) if need be. JDBrocks
I'm in on Chase Claypool. I think he can be what they wanted Treadwell to be.

NoDakViking
I know people seemed to have cooled on him, but if Delpit is there at 25 should we take him? Potential is very high and could be a top center field type S that could alleviate an uncertain CB situation if Wayne's, Alexander, and Harris all walk. I think, despite the lack of safeties on the roster, that it can wait until the mid-rounds.
