Peterson has been rumored to be wanting out of Arizona and has been mentioned of being on the trade block. Now that he will be suspended for the first 6 games they will be more vulnerable to trade. Being that our schedule is pretty favorable for the first 6 weeks we could have J. Lewis play the outside and Chido in the slot where he can excel. After week 6 Peterson will play on the outside. Not really interested tbh. As much as I like PP, I'm satisfied with the CBs and more interested in Dallas signing Berry/Boston/any SS help. matt79511 Posted May 17, 2019 Share Posted May 17, 2019 Peterson is on an extremely reasonable contract and has to be at least 50 spots higher than Chido (maybe put him in the deal instead?) if you were to rank CBs leaguewide. We would still have the potential at a full array of ‘21 comp picks between Collins, Collins, Looney, Quinn, and maybe Cobb. The possibility of upgrading from Chido at LCB- generally considered the #1 CB position on most teams- to the point that 2nd-team All-Pro Byron Jones would become our clear cut 2nd-best corner is pretty freaking appealing to me. I think if everything breaks right, that’s the kind of move that would push us from like a Top 12 defense to Top 3. I’ve wanted Peterson badly for a while and if his stocked has tanked to the point that Brown and a 5th would actually get it done I don’t get why you wouldn’t do that, even with the suspension. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
