Smith is a big YAC guy like Tyreek Hill (except not as good). I assume @jetskid007thinks we will target him bc we had a lot of interest in Hardman this last draft and misse don him, who is a similar player.

I don't think Smith is in the same mold as Hill or Hardman. He is just a normal WR.  I don't see any RB mentality or twitchy in him to be an effective YAC at next level. He gets off the line really well without cheating/sneaking into soft spot.   I feel like when Tua got snapped football, Smith was already ahead of defender.

I assume jetskid007 suggested that Jets would ignore top graded WR in favor of another position for better BPA and then settle down with second tier WR.  Anyway, if he is available in 2nd then feel free to grab him. With or without Robby aboard.

Still a high chance of that happening because of Tru & our #2 CB situation. I think it's going to be between CB and OT by the end of the season. I'm hoping Macc gets lucky at center, but that's going to be a position to watch as well.

Sounds crazy to think we may go D again next year, but yes CB could be a top priority. Depending on how guys develop and if we resign Robby, I think our top priorities next year are going to be CB, Edge, C, LT and WR.

Not enough CB prospects to make it exciting for Jets regarding 1st round crap.

By OT or LT, do you mean it doesn't matter what happen to Edoga?  Would you cancel OT if Edoga replaced Beachum at LT by the end of season?

I am not going to bother to figure out Center part. lol.
