How many small guards are really good and aren't good shooters? RJ was in a tough spot because he was the best shooter in the team's rotation, which is sad. If he gets to go to a team where he's the top dog and they run a dynamic, modern offense I could see him having a very similar career trajectory, as well. He's not a great shooter and has room for improvement obviously, but 36% from 3 and 81% from the FT line are solid and projectable to the NBA. He's thin, but he's not afraid of contact and is a creative finisher inside. He has the frame to easily add 10-15 lbs. without losing athleticism. RJ on the other hand was much worse from both the FT and 3P lines. He has way too many tunnel vision moments, though he also had some great games where he showed off some playmaking.
