Love the Bills defense. Tredavious White was a steal in what was a loaded draft. Great fit for Oliver. This is a game of QBs though which is why if anyone supplants the Patriots it will be Darnold and the Jets.

I could the team shaping up like his final season at USC. Just make him a gamer. Slowly move the ball with Bell and allowing Darnold to use his feet and playmaking. Defensively still could use a few pieces but there are also some really good players that if kept fresh will make the clutch plays needed to win games.

Could they take down the Pats this year?!?!? All up to Darnold and health I'd say. Gase will be decent enough. Really rooting for Darnold to succeed after I was worried he was drafted into a bad situation last year.

Don't expect too much until Brady's offense can't score 400 pts in 16 games (16 x 25 =400)

FYI, Rodgers offense scored less than 380 pts in 2015 and 2018 because he had only one great WR, that should tell you how incredible Brady's offense is.

and between 2001 and 2006, Brady scored 380 pts without a top tier WR.

You have to look at the the Pats going forward. The Pats have 17 new players for 2019. Many of the picks for 2018 never saw the field because of injuries. They also will have 15 picks (comp picks included) in the 2020 draft.

Yes it will be harder without Brady however BB will still work his magic. God forbid if Jarrett Stidham turns out to be a NFL QB. The tools are there and with the roster loaded with young talent BB keeps it rolling.

Note BB trades up for one of the QBs in the 2020 draft if needed. :D

Sorry but unless Brady gets Injured or He and Belichick both retire,  there's nothing exciting now or in the future about the AFCE.

Death, Taxes, Patriots winning the AFCE with ease!

The other three teams only play the Patriots twice, though. And the Jets and Bills will be almost certainly better. The Dolphins may well end up improved too, but either way they'll be fun to follow. The AFCE won't be the be best division in football, but it might turn out it's the most exciting.

Pats are def still the kings of division and will remain conistent divsion challengers when Brady retires. But there finally has to be a rival for Pats in the division

We've had shades of one. NYJ in 2009/2010/2011 - knocked us out playoffs, jumped up and down on our faces doing it. It just didn't last. Dolphins already IS a rivalrly, because we cannot seem to hold any stable ground down there. It's like a conventional army going into a native land to get jumped by guerillas. BUF...yeah, they need to show us more. That will be the team that will benefit most from us dropping, IMO.
