Yes but only a minor pick might think it would be at the end of the first round at best. But I think the NBA has to give a better cap break or something for teams who retain their own Stars. Just enough to lean the best players a little closer to stain but not necessarily making it impossible to leave

Draft isnt deep enough for the picks to matter.

There are always decent players in the 2nd round though, and instead of having the picks 31, 32, 33, go to the worst 3 teams in the league, they could then go to better teams and be a super reserve or something.

And if you award at the end of the 2nd round too, then guys like Joe Ingles, Jeremy Lin, Wes Matthews, Kent Bazemore, JJ Barea, Salah Mejri, Seth Curry, Robert Covington, Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber, Marquis Daniels, Avery Johnson, Jose Calderon, Raja Bell, John Starks, Ben Wallace, Mike James, Alonzo Trier, Jaylen Adams, Gary Neal, James Singleton, Chuck Hayes, Fabricio Oberto and co. all get drafted.

Would be interesting but the only way to do it would be to make them late 1st rounders. Adding extra 2nds wouldn't make any difference.

I'd take an extra 2nd rounder just for the heck of it. Stash the rights somewhere or trade the pick maybe.
