Dr.O
I’d be cool with either Kelly or Douglas, would prefer Douglas as I like Philly’s draft strategy a lot, OL and Pass Rushers in the 1st, weapons everywhere else.

I like that Douglas spent 15 years in Baltimore. Good front office.
jetfuel34
This is just stupid. There are 32 GM jobs and more than half are locked up for the next 5 plus years. These jobs don't open up like HC jobs. If these guys want a GM job they will take it. If they want to hide behind some other guy an be his right hand man than fine stay where you are. I want a guy that comes in and takes control of the roster and gives Gase the guys he like and will work with. BUT THE FINAL ANSWER COMES FROM THE GM! When I have time I will go back and collect all those statements if you'd like The dysfunction narrative is false and the story was written prior to the firing. Example; the stigma attached to a team is already there no matter the decision made. Patriots DC quits prior to free agency and no one blinks an eye because it’s the Patriots. If Gregg Williams had quit then guess what the Jets are dysfunctional. We’re not gonna shake that reputation until...well probably never. Even at the height of the Rex era(B2B AFCCG) we couldn’t shake it. It’s in our nature to be perceived as a clown show and dysfunctional. So why keep a GM, who’s terrible, to appease those who will write the story anyway. The Jets have to operate in the best interest of their team and that means disregarding media bias. Now go look up the receipts all you want.

Allows Macc to help pick new HC, spend 100 million in FA and conduct a draft. May he is fired. If you don't think this is a big change of course and shows dysfunction, ownership changing mind then I don't know what to say. He was hired in 2014 and fired in 2019. Stop changing the timeline to fit your narrative. The only person not taking the job because of Macc would be Macc’s brother. It’s not like we fired someone who did a good job. KBS756
Bring in Douglass and Bring Daniel Jeremiah with him (he seems to be decent and has worked with him before)

Key for me is someone that is not afraid to stand his ground; someone with some conviction. But I also want someone that values the opinion of the coaching staff and tries to build a team that works for their preferred schemes.
