Near as I can tell from my past experiences with losing someone close, reality sets in when you are able to start handling it. That can be days to months to ???, just depends on the person and situation. IMO, the strangest part is when you finally dream about the person again. It's bittersweet, a little sadness mixed with the happiness of feeling like you got one last visit. Used to really mess with my head, but now I mostly just appreciate it. And I'll also add my name to the list of those willing to chat whenever it's needed. I'm on the west coast, so if anyone can't sleep, it's very possible I'll be around. These are guys that are “My Bills.” Tbh Fitzy is up there as well. Either way, this was such an emotional piece.
