Man, that is most unfortunate for Coach LaFleur and the team. Per Demovsky’s story on ESPN:

"LaFleur, 39, will have surgery on Sunday. A source said team physician Dr. Pat McKenzie advised LaFleur to have the tear repaired as soon as possible.

I guess we’ll get to find out how the “New Packers” handle adversity, and his coaching staff will have an opportunity to step up and develop their chops.

Google: At six weeks patients are usually allowed full weight bearing out of the cast or boot. Physical therapy is started and is aimed at restoring ankle range of motion. Strengthening of the calf muscles and Achilles is gradually allowed as the tendon heals. Patients are usually able to return to full activity by six months.

Six weeks = Mid July
Six months = November

Preseason Opener - August 8th
Season Opener - September 5th

This is gonna be interesting for a new HC implementing a new program.

Sucks for a first year head coach, seems like he was very active in drills and stuff.

Could end up being a positive. Learns how to delegate a bit more which is very important for a new HC to learn.

I was just reading about how hands on LaFleur has been at practice, so this will have an obviously negative impact on that.  He was seen lining up at safety a few days ago, and also has been seen playing some QB.

Tough break but if affects little to nothing
