Seems like it was just the other day Gruden was leading the Raiders to the playoffs every year with Gannon the Cannon at QB, surprised me to see them 30th out of 32. Quite the nosedive to go from constant playoff team to losing 198 games, sheesh.

Cleveland fans, take a bow.

I'm old enough to remember when the Browns were very good, but for many of you -  this is all you've gotten to see.
kudos for hanging with em, and your just rewards are imminent.

I should show this to some steelers fans who need a reality check

While I dont completely disagree, past success doesnt excuse current incompetence.    Pretty much all of that playoff success is well behind us.

Doesn't excuse current incompetence but be grateful that your franchise has had a lot of success. You could of been like your greatest rivals in the 70s, the lowly Raiders xD

I'm absolutely grateful, but some people (not you @August4th) act like past success means it excuses Kevin Colbert and others from their more recent failures.

Whats crazy is i put up a lot with random football fans many strictly NFL fans of various teams telling me that the Titans suck and they are really bad and all this other stuff. Honestly i think they suffer from being a small market team and lack of exposure compared to other teams.

With that being said i was surprised myself that they were 1 win from cracking the top 10 in win as Dallas was 10th with 171 wins and the Titans had 170 wins. The Titans celebrated their 20th year in 2018 so the last 20 years is basically the teams whole history.

The Titans have had 3 straight winning seasons including a playoff win in the 2017 playoffs that was the biggest comeback win for a road team in NFL history.

They have had 10 winning seasons out of the 20 they have played, 3 of those seasons were 13 win seasons ('99,'00 and '08). They led the NFL in wins in 2000 and 2008. They had a 2000 yard rusher in 2009(Chris Johnson) and he broke the record for total yardage for a player in one season 2.509 yards. They had 2 NFL Rookie of the Year players in Jevon Kearse in '99 and Vince Young in '06. An NFL MVP in 2003 Steve McNair. They had one of the NFL's first defensive lineman to ever get a 100 million dollar contract in 2009 Albert Haynesworth. They even have the record for most FG in a game 8 by Rob Bironas in 2007.

The Titans also set another record which is due to RB Derrick Henry having a 99 yard run the longest in NFL history tied with Dallas Tony Dorsett who also had a 99 yard run in 1983.

Their worst period was 2012 thru 2015 with 4 straight losing seasons. That was mostly based on drafting a bust at QB in Jake Locker and having hired a GM that was terrible at drafting Ruston Webster.

They were able to remedy this by drafting a new QB Marcus Mariota and hiring a new GM Jon Robinson in 2015.

Mariota has been inconsistent but he is clutch he led the NFL in comebacks in 2017 and in his career he has 12 NFL come from behind wins. He also has wins over Tom Brady,Aaron Rodgers,Drew Brees and Russell Wilson.

Mariota was the first QB NFL history 250+ pass,100+ rush yds,3 TD passes in game

Only 5 QBs have passer rating above 100.0 in Primetime since 2000 Manning,Brees,Rodgers,Wilson.... & Mariota is best with a 106.4 rating

Last season Mariota was first in passer rating in 3rd and long,5th in third down conversion,6th in completion percentage as well as being a top 5 QB under pressure.

Hopefully he can be good enough to lead the Titans to the postseason in 2019.
