#weakest division O.o

Well it is still pretty weak outside of the Patriots. No team close to a winning record.

And This includes the two seasons before Brady, where both the Dolphins and Jets actually had winning records.

Take out those seasons (ie since Brady) both these have even more pathetic records. Looking at purely these numbers,  the NFC West has been worse i'll give you that, but who else?

AFC N has 659 wins, to AFC E's 711. Take the top two of each (Pats and Steelers) away, it's AFC E: 448. AFC N: 441.

And that's since 1999 or 2001?

99.

Anyway, you've chosen to quote that sarcastic comment of mine, when my first comment was that I was surprised to see only 1 AFCE teams in the bottom 10. Which should suggest that I did believe the AFCE to be the weakest division in the league. I am also surprised to see a couple divisions with fewer wins overall, even if you do take the Pats out. So we probably agree, Hitchy.

I bet no one thought the niners would have that kind of record for the next 20 yrs, after what they've done the 15 or so yrs before 1999

Things like that can happen when you have no longer a HOF QB in your team as the 49ers had for close to 20 years before 1999.

Different owner too, even if I do not know how big the impact is.

Amazed the Chargers are above .500 since this includes the 8 years of ineptitude that was Mike McCoy and Norv Turner.

I mean a lot of Norv's ineptitude got masked during the first few years because he inherited an absolutely stacked roster.

The most amazing part about this is how big the gap is between the Pats and the next team. After the Steelers the gaps between one team to the next is never that big, but the Patriots win % is nearly 100 points higher. Not to mention 6 SB's & 9 appearance when the next best is 2 SB's, 3 appearances (Broncos, Giants, Steelers)
