onejayhawk
Here is another preseason 53 man rosterhttps://chiefswire.usatoday.com/gallery/kansas-city-chiefs-53-man-roster-projection-pre-training-camp-vertical-gallery/ Quarterbacks (2) - Patrick Mahomes, Chad Henne Running Backs (4) - Damien Williams, Darrel Williams, Carlos Hyde, Darwin Thompson Fullbacks (1) - Anthony Sherman Wide Receivers (6) - Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, Byron Pringle, Gehrig Dieter Tight Ends (2) - Travis Kelce, Deon Yelder Offensive Tackles (3) - Eric FIsher, Mitchell Schwartz, Dino Boyd Offensive Guards (4) - Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Andrew Wylie, Cameron Erving, Kahlil McKenzie Centers (2) - Austin Reiter, Nick Allegretti Defensive Tackles (4) - Chris Jones, Derrick Nnadi, Xavier Williams, Khalen Saunders Weakside DE (3) - Frank Clark, Alex Okafor, Tanoh Kpassagnon Strongside DE (2) - Breeland Speaks, Emmanuel Ogbah Outside Linebackers (5) - Anthony Hitchens, Damien Wilson, Dorian O'Daniel, Darron Lee, Ben Niemann Middle Linebackers (2) - Reggie Ragland, Darius Harris Cornerbacks (5) - Kendall Fuller, Bashaud Breeland, Charvarius Ward, Keith Reaser, Rashad Fenton Safeties (5) - Tyrann Mathieu, Daniel Sorensen, Juan Thornhill, Jordan Lucas, Armani Watts Specialists (3) - Harrison Butker (K), Dustin Colquitt (P), James Winchester (LS) This seems a little simplistic. There are players who will make the team because they have flexibility to play two positions. Examples, Tanoh Kpassagnon at DE and DT. Cam Erving OG and OT. So, we could drop an OL, say Dino Boyd and use Cam Erving as swing tackle. Allegretti can back up OG as well as C. That would allow for an extra TE or WR. They spent a lot of cash on Custis and he's not on this 53. Some other issues, do we keep both Reaser and Fenton? Same with Sorenson, Lucas, and Watts. What do Ben Neimann and Darius Harris add to the team? J
valkrei
This team should feel so much different this year. We just need a good enough Defense to go to the SB.
Jaytrajik
Hey guys, the Chiefs became my second best team this year because my nephew made it to the roster (D'juan Hines LB). He started out as UDFA last year with the Chargers then got cut and picked up by the Browns, which became my 2nd best team last year. He hasn't played much but I'm hoping to see him stick and make solid contributions on the field. Plus y'all have Mathieu, I'm going to like this defense. So don't mind me sticking my head in every now n then.

I look forward to watching him play this preseason.

On one hand, with so much veteran talent imported, it seems certain the early roster will lean strongly that way. OTOH the best talent is less experienced. They may start slowly but eventually force the issue, or not relinquish injury promotions.
onejayhawk
Here is an article looking at the draft picks for the whole division. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2019/08/21/chiefs-wire-how-have-afc-wests-rookies-looked-in-preseason-play/ Highlights are Chargers DT Jerry Tillery, whom some of us would have liked at #29, and Broncos TE Noah Fant, a draft favorite of mine. There is not much to go on yet. J Edited August 22, 2019 by onejayhawk
