A lot of the developers from MW1/MW2 that left to form Respawn (Titanfall) are back and worked on this. Naughty Dog also was absorbed and those people worked a lot on this campaign. iknowcool Posted May 30, 2019 Share Posted May 30, 2019 (edited) I want to get excited for this game SO much, but I'm so hesitant. The fact (or at least I assume) they will be getting away from a lot of that futuristic crap in recent CODs is a plus. Black Ops 4 was fun at first, but the specialists and terrible streaks, among other things, end up making that game feel repetitive after awhile. And it seems like most people think that too since it seems to be getting harsher and harsher criticism every month (on Reddit anyway). Personally, I don't want COD to try and be some tactical shooter like BO4 tried to do for the most part. I have Rainbow Six for that. I want it to be fun. Just freakin' crazy, insane streaks, insane perks, OP weapons, all of it. And good maps, I'm really hoping they nail that. I want it to be a COD I can sit down and play for a couple of hours and do some ridiculous stuff and murk people with streaks. If the maps are free, and you can relatively easily earn all new guns without paying (like in WWII) then I'm fully on board. If it is anything like BO3 or BO4, it is a hard pass. I think I've seen one or two on Youtube but that's it. If there is no season pass but they go on to not release any new maps post-launch as they typically would, then it really doesn't mean anything. So the follow-up will be important. But at the very least we won't have to worry about them dividing up the player base because half of the players bought the pass and the other half didn't. If anything - I am hoping this gives the option to play WITH those on PC (then again, pairing with a PC player would probably place you in PC lobbies). showtime Posted May 31, 2019 Share Posted May 31, 2019 Tbh, Black Ops 4 sucks, IMO. Some of the worst maps ever and I'm really disappointed with the game. I thought it was fun in the beta, but it just isn't a good game. I was initially going to blow this off, but a lot of the news so far as sounded awesome.
