y*so*blu
Not a matter of "if" but "when," as it simply is not enforceable in combination with all the other rules intended to protect the quarterbacks. The Detroit Free Press said it better than I could in an article from last year, so here you go: Quote Here’s the biggest problem with the league’s stance [...] can they please tell [Clay] Matthews how he SHOULD do it if he’s not doing it correctly? Can they tell [Gerald] McCoy? You can’t go high on a quarterback for fear of a helmet-to-helmet hit. You can’t go low on the quarterback and risk and ankle or knee injury. So you have to wrap them up, knock them down and try NOT to land on them? Players don’t know how to play it. Coaches don’t know how to coach it. And fans don’t know what they’re watching. Nice job NFL. [Any] rule change is going to take time for all parties to get used to. The difference here is that by putting this rule in, the league left themselves no out. If Matthews and McCoy aren’t doing it properly, can you please go ahead and show them the proper technique? They can’t because it doesn’t exist. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2018/09/27/nfl-body-weight-rule/1437831002/ Bingo ...
BleedTheClock
Never. The NFL doesn't care about the fans or the legitimacy of their ridiculous rules. You might as well hit the QB as dirty and hard as you can because there's just as good of a chance that you'll get flagged for that. Unless you're Baker Mayfield then apparently you are "allowed to be hit in the head," according to this crew of morons:
Superman(DH23)
Ask Khalil Mack, bc he and Von Miller deem to get it. It's not that hard, attack the ball. A consequence of doing so is forcing fumbles.
