TheKillerNacho
https://www.cheeseheadtv.com/blog/former-packers-first-round-pick-datone-jones-signs-with-jaguars-230 Quote Jones made just one appearance for the Cowboys last season before landing on injured reserve with a hamstring issue. The 2013 first-round pick of the Packers has eight total appearances over the past two years.

Then I saw it was actually worse.

Definitely not that of a first round pick. 2014 and 15 he wasn't bad (he wasn't good either). There is a lot of looks like Tarzan plays like Jane in Datone Jones. DaBoys
He came on strong for us at the end of 2017. We only had him for 4 games but he had 9 tackles, 3 for loss, a QB hit, and 1 sack. Not bad for joining a new team mid season. Then he basically went to IR hell and never came back. Rod Marinelli tends to get the best out of players, but Jones did look like an okay NFL DT for 4 games in 2017. I think he could have developed into a player if he went to the right fit. Trying to play him as a 34 DL was a mistake because he's just not stout enough. He flashed talent when he could just shoot the gaps -- should have been a 4-3 UT/LDE. You can't really reset the clock on a player of his age, either, sadly. You can try, but it rarely pans out more than a little. Edited June 7, 2019 by Gopher Trace
