260+ lbs of mostly lean muscle vs 240 lbs is a huge difference to not include with that extra inch in size.   OLB and DE are not played the same way.

Yeah these aren’t two construction workers or dudes with dad bods, 20-30 pounds of lean mass is a huge difference.

Avery looks like Robert mathis, Vernon looks to be slightly smaller than Suggs.

Way different players.

Maybe in a couple years when Vernon has to go....it becomes Chad Thomas on 1rst and 2nd as a base run stopping DE...and Avery on the rush downs?

I think we’ll regret trading zeitler for Vernon. Avery should be starting.

Crazy talk.

Did you watch much of Vernon last year?  Dude played really well.

Even if he's only an average starting DE, that's WAY more valuable than a good guard.

Nearly half his season was spent facing Trent Williams, Jason Peters, and Tyron Smith.

Now replace those names with Matt Feiler, Jonah Williams and Orlando Brown.

Oh, and going from being the guy who received the chips by TE’s and backs to opposite of that guy.

I don’t think we’ll regret the trade, and I’m a Zeitler honk.

I think for a pure pass rusher Richardson might still hold that edge

I don't like the idea of kicking Myles inside - he wreaks the most havoc with his speed on the edge. You're neutering one of your best features

Not at all.  His speed and quickness is simply too much for a guard.

You kick him inside for mismatches.  It is super effective when they adjust pre-snap.

His first sack w his first snap, crossed left guards face, dashed between the guard and centre.
