Jets hire Eagles VP Joe Douglas as GM

Well... now Eagles fans now how Ravens fans feel.

One of the great football stories is what Ozzie Newsome did in the 00's with his "20/20 club" - hiring a bunch of early 20-something entry level scouts to work ridiculously long hours for  just 20k a year, but offering them unparalleled access to the top meeting rooms and opportunity for advancement. Eric Decosta worked his way from there all the way to the top job as the GM of the Ravens. Now, Joe Douglas is the second to get a GM job from that group. The Ravens new director of player personnel, Joe Horitz, is also from that group, along with other execs. Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network (and GM candidate rumors) is also part of the club.

Nope. Its Rick Smith and you'll like it!

I can say for certain it's not Rick Smith.

I can't say for certain that it won't be Bill O'Brien. Which is SO much worse.

Who is Dave Portnoy?

Although that is just further evidence that ET may be in line for an FO job.

Not sure, but mcshay has confirmed that he's at least being considered

McShay told ESPN's Rich Cimini that Jets general manager Joe Douglas is considering him among multiple options for an unspecified front-office role.

McShay and Douglas know each other from their college days as teammates on the University of Richmond's football squad.
