Knicks will give him the Max and he'll be totally washed. Warriors literally just, functionally, ended his career by playing him. This is why Kawhi did what he did, **** a team, they just screwed Durant out of hundreds of millions.
beekay414
It's definitely ruptured.
seminoles1
As @J-ALL-DAY said in the other thread, ALWAYS get a 2nd opinion. This sucks for Durant.
beekay414
Also, he's just going to opt in, make an easy $31.5 Million while rehabbing and then enter free agency in 2020. Only way he doesn't is if the Knicks flat out offer him a 4 year max regardless of his injury.

Thelonebillsfan
Knicks are now totally ****ed for the next 5 years now, this structurally alters the landscape of the NBA. Chances guys take opportunities to make money or compete in places they wouldn't have if KD were 100%

I'd bet my house the Knicks offer him a max.

Lakers might be the only team who wouldn't just because of LeBron's timeline.
Thelonebillsfan
I just do not see how he holds up with this, this is the death knell. Like he'll still play but idek if he'll be like, a top-30 guy again.
J-ALL-DAY
I don't think he will be totally washed or anything when he returns. Still relatively young enough to recover and his game can still be effective even with less lift for the first year he returns. Will need to play more on the block/elbow area early on until he fully recovers. 3 minutes ago, beekay414 said: Also, he's just going to opt in, make an easy $31.5 Million while rehabbing and then enter free agency in 2020. showtime
Man, this sucks so much. We've seen many different examples of team doctors clearing a player. Team doctors have the best interest of the team in mind, not the player. The guy was walking with a limp after game one of the Finals and hasn't really put in any work at all because of the significance of his injury. The team is down 3-1, so now they decide all of a sudden he's cleared to play and be thrown into a freaking NBA Finals game. Durant clearly shouldn't have played tonight and shouldn't have played the entire series.

seminoles1
They said before the game he was going to play in short bursts, but he played 12 out of 14 minutes with only 1 break.
